The Inn is a short RPG game with elements of mystery and fantasy. The story follows an adventurer traveling across a country and looking for (what else would an adventurer look for?) adventures, when she comes across an inn deep within the forest and decides to rest there. But not everything is as it seems, as the inn hides a dark and sinister secret that might cost our character her life.


Have interesting conversations with NPC-s, uncover an ancient mystery, interact with (almost) everything and fight a colourful (pun intended*) cast of enemies. Hopefully chuckle at a joke and maybe even be surprised by a twist of events. What more could you ask for? You know you want to give this game a try.

the revamp is here! ^_^

after almost two years, the long promised revamp is here! the changes are mostly aesthetic, with a few tiny dialogue and gameplay ones.

i hope you decide to spend some time at this renovated inn and that you enjoy it. please let me know if you find any bugs, errors, or anything else that a respectable establishment such as this one should not have.

and thanks once more to everyone who has decided to give my little game a try, and to those who will in the future :3

While it uses core assets, it looks like work has been put into this and looks well designed. I am curious to see the mechanics and how the story plays out.

Oh, don't worry. XD I've played a LOT of RPG Maker games, from amazing to awful, and I don't think yours will be bad. I'm a big fan of the horror/mystery RPGM games, and this one seems to sort of be in that vein (even if it isn't horror, the story seems interesting). Of course I'm not setting my expectations super high, but I'm not a harsh critic unless things are just...outright BAD bad, or extremely disappointing compared to expectations.

From the screenshots alone, I can tell you've put in a lot more effort than many people do on their first projects. Well, I'll see when I play!

and absolutely don't set your expectations high, please xD i mean, i made my first move in any rpg maker program ever (or even anything similar tbh) less than a month ago, so i am absolutely a noob and i know it ;__;

Well, I finally got around to playing your game! Submitted the LP to media. =3

As I expected, it wasn't bad for a first attempt! Short and simple, but the effort and production value was there. Best of luck in your future projects, you have potential!

I actually don't know. I've never developed and posted a game on here, so I've never had media submitted to me. I'm not sure where you'd look. >: I'm surprised that kind of thing doesn't show up in notices.

Maybe it needs to be viewed by moderators first, then they post it to the media section?

that is quite possible and honestly makes sense. i looked for it too, thinking it maybe simply didn't send a notice, but it is not in the media section or anywhere else. i guess we will simply have to wait to find out xD

but i couldn't wait so i went to your profile and from there youtube channel because i wanted to see the lp xD

you have a really nice channel and you seem like a very legit youtuber, your comments are cool and funny, everything is nice, so as i said there too, i honestly hope you get much more views and followers ^^ i promise i am not saying that just because you played my game!

i like how you didn't skip or miss basically any interactions, and how you discovered very quickly you can just skip all the ordinary demons xD i am sorry you got confused by that basic attack, i made it too weak so it seemed odd, i don't really know how to balance those fight stuff xD
also, you are very correct when you say it was a learning experience. actually, that is the best description possible xD

all in all, you rock ^_^

I really appreciate the compliments, and I hope my channel will grow one of these days ^^ Viewer interaction is the main reason I do LPs to begin with, it's a lot of fun, ya know? That's why I'd love to have more viewership. All I can is just keep goin' til that day arrives. For the time being though, I am happy I have at least a small viewerbase!

Well, I hope you take what you learned here and use it to make better games in the future. =3 I wouldn't suggest jumping into anything big yet, but if you want to make more of an actual "game" game (with levels, maybe more characters) you could try developing something small with one dungeon, and a boss or two! Have a simple story, a couple characters, and a castle/cave dungeon they are exploring for some reason...well, whatever you wanna make, obviously! Just start small, and work your way up to bigger projects.

well, you definitely have what it takes to have a much bigger and more popular channel, that is a fact ^^

and that is the plan! learning more, trying out new stuff, for now make more tiny games, i don't know what exactly yet, i just know i like rpg maker a lot :3

Gave it a shot. Very short and nice. Interacting with literally everything was fun. In a full length game, I'd hope for more treasure and stuff to be in random stuff but I like it!

i have been feeling kinda bad today and this comment really cheered me up! thank you so much, i am very happy you liked it ^__^ and yes, in a full length game, there would definitely be more stuff to find and take and stuff that would affect game progress and storyline in some way :3

Short game with suspense but I expected it. I've personally seen this sort of plot before so it didnt surprise me or anything. Although I died the first time because there didn't seem be be a way to heal yourself, and you have to rush to the boss and ignore the random encounters. Simple and interesting story-based game.
