First and foremost, I want to say sorry to those who have played the demo version in the past. After a long period of reflection, I chose to remake all the drawings of the Faceless demo to sync with the art style of the final game. I also renamed the demo game to Faceless - Prologue because this part's story happens before the Faceless game. So I hope you will take some time to play Faceless - Prologue before playing the official Faceless game! - Nguyet | KCA leader

- SUMMARY -

A little girl is lost after sleeping for too long at the nursery. Can you help her find her way home?

Many dangers await her on her way, the dark creatures are always ready to consume her small spirit. On this journey, she got a question and gave a promise, but could she remember them until the end?

I played two versions of this demo (1.1 and 1.2, I think?). A lot of what I noticed in 1.1 and was going to comment on were fixed up in 1.2 so kudos to your team for catching and fixing all of that stuff so fast!

Though, I'm curious,
did you ramp up the difficulty of avoiding the old woman between 1.1 and 1.2? I don't remember having much trouble with her my first time through the demo, but when I downloaded the update, it was a lot harder for me to get the protagonist to wiggle her way around her. It's not really a bad thing, it just surprised me!

Also, speaking of the old woman, there's an issue where if you come from the west on the second "loop" of that map, her catching you plays twice, once with her coming from behind you, then again with her coming from the north with the dialogue box repeated. And in that section, MC comments on the blocked roads when you walk over the tiles even if you're not facing the direction to leave, which freezes you but not the old woman and often leads to getting caught. If you make a conditional branch to display the blocked road message only when the main character is facing the way of the road (up for the north, for example), it will be the only time that message displays.


The art is, of course, beautiful, and you do create a good deal of mystery to make the player want to keep going to figure out more! Good luck on further production and I can't wait to see where this leads.

About the old lady, she was supposed to appear as it was in version 1.2. But for some reason, she did not appear (as you saw in 1.2), which caused me to delete the whole event in that map and redo it T_T.
And while the old lady starts chasing you, the whole scene will fall into an endless loop (the position of the old lady will change randomly at that time) unless you run in the right 3 o'clock direction.
Perhaps, I will fix the message displayed in the full game. Again, thanks for your reminder ^^ And sorry if my English is so bad :(

played the demo. really nice!!! the old lady gave me a hard time :P and in the train, i couldn't see very well the blue steps, so it took me for sure 4 or 5 trys. i hadd a small issue going out the boat (parking it in the right spot). Well done im really looking forward to play the whole game. :)

BTW, at the end of the demo, did I switch to the other person, or did the girl we were already playing as become faceless? She was interrupted before she got to say her name, so that means she's still a big part of the full game, right? Sometimes, I see demos showcasing characters that never appear in the full version, so I feel a need to ask.

I can't tell you all but don't worry! The little girl in demo still be the main character. All the mysteries in the demo, like the name of main character or who she really is, what she try to hide... will be explained in full game.
