Welcome to the world of Dog Adventure!
Huge Dogger (Dog for short) is visited in his dreams by a mysterious figure who shares his face. The figure's cryptic orders fresh in his mind, Dog wanders out into the world to begin his day job of running errands for the vibrant populace of Vomberg. As he journeys farther from home, he finds that his dream might be more sinister than it initially let on, and that getting home may prove more difficult than expected.
The primary design philosophy going into Dog Adventure was that I wanted to create an entertaining world first, interesting puzzles second, and a compelling RPG battle system third. I think I've achieved that here.
Throughout the game, you'll have the opportunity to switch between a few skill sets with Dog before ultimately specializing. To keep everything balanced between sets and specializations, the combat ultimately errs on the easy side in the hopes that you'll be able to experience the entire game regardless of what gear and specialization you choose.
Dog Adventure is a game I initially worked on on-and-off from about 2009 to 2014, starting with RPG Maker VX before porting the game to VX Ace. After sending it around to a few friends, I spent the last few years adding little tweaks, bug fixes, and bits of polish every few months. I finally now consider it fit for human consumption by the general population.
