Story
The nation of Ilden has grown powerful, expanding its territory and exerting its influence over the surrounding kingdoms. An internal threat prompts the King to assign two of Ilden's elite soldiers to quell the issue. Renault and Victoria share conflicting views on their orders, and are forced to confront the dark motivations driving both them and their superiors. Ilden seems a strong domain, yet it may still collapse from the inside...


Gameplay
The gameplay of Ilden's Parable is rooted in exploration and combat. Exploring the morally grey world in which Ilden exists will reward the player with lore, supplies and even unique skills. Combat is turn-based with a focus on low numbers. There are only two resources for the player- health and focus. Managing your varied arsenal of skills while spending these resources intelligently is the only path to success.

This game is currently in development. A short demo is included in the downloads section, around forty minutes to an hour in length.

A Simple Balance Update

This update caused a game-breaking bug due to the game referencing a missing file. This has been fixed, and the current demo reflects that.

After watching the video and gaining feedback from other players, I've made some tweaks to the game's balance.

  • HP costs have been lowered across the board

  • "Resilient" state now applied by the Concuss skill, preventing enemies from being stunlocked

  • The duration of all buffs has been slightly increased

  • More adrenaline vials provided from the game's start
