And this is the first. Well, I'll briefly note that I continue to work on Love and War in general, but more specifically am trying to get a smaller-scale side project done, which hopefully will have its own page(s?) here on RMN sometime this year. (Maybe, possibly, hopefully, coulda shoulda woulda. *ahem*)
That aside, I continue to wrestle with the idea of perhaps releasing some sort of significant update, maybe even a full-fledged remake, of Act I. I can see a lot of things I'd like to change or update with the benefit of hindsight, and with a new mapper, I might just be able to have a more graphically pleasing Act as well... It might be a good idea, but it would probably cause a fair amount of delay and disruption to Act II (which itself has been delayed for I-don't-know-how-long). Hard to say, hard to say...
Oh, the LAW website has also moved, so I've updated the links.
Happy New Year, by the way!

though it'd be nice to have a remake to act 1 i'd really prefer you press on with act 2 since we've been waiting god knows how long for it, myabe once act 2 is out you can work on remaking act 1 but in my oponion act 2 should be your priority for the moment. of course i'm not going to tell you how to make your game, if you want to remake act 1 first go right ahead, just giving some advice.
Yeah, I generally think that's the best way to go. It's just that I always have this nagging feeling of "But it could be so much more...!" Something tells me I might think that no matter how many times I remade Act I, heh. :) Thanks for letting me know what you think!
Remake the first one, get your facesets and sprites all worked out. The main character's rival shouldn't have been animated with fighting game sprites.
@AznChipmunk: ...Random Japanese???
@Ark: I always found it kind of weird that Juno was the only character with a visible character sprite in battle. If there ever was a remake, I don't think changing some of the sprites would be too much of a hassle. Most of the sprites are already RTP-styled anyway. The facesets would be a little more difficult to manage...
Anyways, how's the side project coming along Admiral? Haven't heard any news for an awfully long time...

AznChipmunk: Possibly during the bit where Lavie tries out for Terran Idol. http://antioch.snow-fall.com/law/misc/Laviejoke.png
(Just kidding.)
Ark: Ah, easier said then done... I'd be up for changing or adding a lot of new spritework, but generally I have to work with what I've got. I'd mostly want to keep the facesets I have now (kinda grown attached to them), unless they could be replaced with custom artwork. And, lemme tell you, finding a reliable artist is a heartbreaking ordeal... :'(
SGCN: I'm hoping to say a little on that soon.
