The evil King Kentonus has gone ape. A rebellion has rebelled against him, but they're getting their asses handed to them. In a last ditch effort, they send a lone knight out to try and enlist the aid of renowned warrior priestess Libby. Only with her help may the resistance possibly win and save the realm.
This game was an entry into the RETROMANIA event, commemorating RMN's 10th Birthday.

Heh.
So in a way, this is technically my first completed game submitted for the rest of the world to play. I have a couple of contest entries, but they're just dopey little things I didn't put much effort into. This is a heartfelt project I spent roughly six months on, if you add it all up. And to think, it was only supposed to take 3 weeks! If you ever need advice on workload projection and time management, stay the hell away from me.
Anyway, this will be tucked neatly under my belt as I move on to bigger and more ambitious horizons.

Does this work well on newer computers?
I had a hell of a time just getting RPG Maker '95 to run when I was making a video comparison among the main engines.
Worked just fine on mine, but I'm still running Windows 7. I don't think it should have an issue on 8 or 10 though.

For the record, I finally got Gourdy to be something other than a villager. I'm not thinking he'll last long as a knight though.

Congratulations on getting him as far as the shrine. You might be the first o_o;;
And here I was, worried that the game would be boringly easy. If anybody's curious, there's a way to revive dead allies later on.
And just a heads up for folks who've already downloaded; I bumped his Defense growth by an extra 10%. Just drop this DAT file into the main directory. The main download's been updated too.

I had a nice post written up and my computer ate it by locking up. Anyways... I just came off like a 5 hour play session of this (maybe more). I am really enjoying it.
I just got to the shrine behind the zombie dragon. Was about to lay the smack down on some wizards when my computer locked up.
Demon Fighter OP but it is the thirs class upgrade for Mirack so I shouldn't be surprised. Also double steel bow snipers are nasty. Gourd and the other one. I am not impressed by the mounted types so far, especially Knight/Paladins. The extra movement is not useful with their stats especially when stacked against the Swordfighter. Soldiers/Armor Knights are decent though!
Leveling Unity was a pain in the ass! Lol She still isn't 12 yet!
All in all though I am having fun playing it. It isn't to easy but it isn't to hard. I am definitely going to do a proper review after my play through!

Mirak's in his third tier already? You're only in Chapter 2 :O
Knights/Paladins are meant to be versatile with no real specialty, but a wide range of utility. In all strategy RPGs, this role tends to make characters lackluster, but I think you'll find they redeem themselves in the later parts of the game.
And don't worry about Unity. She's about where I'd expected her to be. Try to take her to Level 20 before promotion.

I need to give the game another try. I'm not so great at Fire Emblem type games (I didn't get into them until the more recent ones) so I have trouble, but I really wanna see the rest of the game

I farmed the shrines and graveyard...
Mirak, Gourd, the other Archer are all in third tier now. Everyone else is in second tier, except Liberty.
Ahh I've been playing the game in between classes, so I haven't gotten very far but it's a lot of fun! I was very careful to keep myself protected at all times so I didn't have much trouble getting me to a useful.
I think Mirak is my best unit although I have accidentally killed him a few times due to recklessness yike.
I only got as far as the Renpy Gate though so I'm sure it'll get harder as I go. ;w;b
