Heh.
So in a way, this is technically my first completed game submitted for the rest of the world to play. I have a couple of contest entries, but they're just dopey little things I didn't put much effort into. This is a heartfelt project I spent roughly six months on, if you add it all up. And to think, it was only supposed to take 3 weeks! If you ever need advice on workload projection and time management, stay the hell away from me.

Anyway, this will be tucked neatly under my belt as I move on to bigger and more ambitious horizons.

I thought babby's first game was Village Brave!
(still congrats thought!)

Congrats! Time to put on my tactics hat (it's not fedora, is it?)
I am pretty sure Gourd has the highest threat rating because the vandits just beeline and kill him every time!
It's the way it would work in real life so it's A++ as far as I'm concerned XD
That is so Ninja Gaiden NES.

See?

Nice graphics splicing though. I have nostalgia now...
I don't really see a resemblance, bulma.
I mean, bulma isn't wrong. There's some straight-up rips going on there. I fail to see the issue though.
Hmm, I still don't really see a resemblance
How come nobody else's rips get dissected and thrown in their face? :( I worked hard on that splice.
And if we're talking Ninja Gaiden-inspired cutscenes, you ain't seen nothing yet <.<;; Play further.

Yeah, I agree. No need to spoil the magic!
It's a well done splice, I don't think anyone was saying anything against it or acting negative towards your having done it.

I was just pointing out where the rips were since Kaempfer couldn't see them easily (and apparently still can't?). Besides, I was curious to see how it lined up myself and decided to share because it's interesting. I don't see how that's being thrown in your face. :/

If anything it shows the skills you used to create a montage image that -works- from different games. And you obviously did your own edits to it too. There's no need to be defensive about what is clearly a neat use of skills.

I actually don't have a problem with it. Ninja Gaiden was a badass series, and had the awesomest graphics even by today's standards (it wasn't "realistic" but it was like fine art). My only problem is that I never got that far cuz I totally suck at the tactical fights.
@Liberty:
I... I could clearly see the resemblance. Do you think I read RMN in braille? I just don't like it when people do things to undercut the finished effect of a nice edit. It's like cutting to a behind-the-scenes shot during the film.

It's not a BIG DEAL and I don't think it was an assault on Dyhalto's artistic integrity or anything ridiculous like that. I use a lot of rips and people love pointing out whence they came immediately upon seeing them. Just... appreciate the work the relevant RMN user has done for a few moments, first.

Now let's all get along. Don't you see? This kind of infighting is just what King Kentonius wants us to do...
I guess I conveyed the wrong impression when I complained. I'm not deeply wounded or anything. I've been known to point out a few rips here and there myself, usually when it's something only I would know (with my habit of exploring lesser-known retro stuff). Rest assured that no feelings are hurt.

But it is a bit of a bummer when someone comes along and says "you made that with this and this and this!" It harkens back to this little episode.
