The world is now in ruin. The Genesis marks the advent of a new world. As the majority of an already beautiful world crumbles, a tower emerges from the depths. Following the tower's emergence, a haunting voice rang in the ears of the few people who survived the catastrophe. The voice states, "Climb the tower to rebuild your world! Soon, a revelation of your ideal society will shine as bright as the sun, radiating through the heavens! You will prosper as God does through the birth of your ideals!" Rafael and Amia are in awe of this proclamation. They decide to join together and investigate.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Radiant Revelation is a Dungeon Crawler RPG inspired by the Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest series. The main premise of the game is to climb the mysterious tower called the "Basilica" that had emerged due to the catastrophe known as the "Genesis."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features:

- 8 Playable Characters
- 4 Different Endings
- Many Sidequests
- A Character Bonding System
- Around 5 ~ 10 Hours of Gameplay
- A Class System
- A Fast, Strategic, and Exploitable Battle System

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Characters:

RAFAEL - Initial Classes: Ranger, Fencer, Mage

A young man from the town of Canaan. He sets off to venture the labyrinthine tower, as said by the mysterious voice, in hopes of rebuilding a new world how he sees fit.

AMIA - Initial Classes: Cleric, Monk, Alchemist

A young woman from the town of Canaan. She wishes the Genesis never occurred. Her wish is for a new world to simply revert back to the world of old.

SAEF - Initial Classes: Dragon Knight, Paladin, Mystic Knight

A Dragon Knight from the town of Ur. The opportunity of the Genesis was seen as a blessing to him, as he would be able to reshape the world where solely the strong in mind and body would survive, leaving those remaining being able to have free-will--essentially establishing an Anarchist government.

BRYNHILD - Initial Classes: Valkyrie, Warrior Maiden, Sage

A Valkyrie from the town of Ur. The Genesis had revealed to her the true significance of following a strict law, as evidenced by her survival. As a result, she wishes to rebuild the world into one with strict laws and punishment--essentially an Authoritarian government. She believes this would be ideal for society to prosper.

Great game so far.
But you were a bit too ambicious to delete data: The animation image Light4 is missing. I copied it from another MV game.

Can you please explain the classes? I'm not sure to change my cleric class.
But sometimes I can't use healing spells after a fight. My characters are greyed out.

And I hate the counter ability!
Thank you for your feedback, Firefly84!

Regarding the animations--I have put all of them back in just in case; I had initially deleted many I believed to have not been used in order to keep the download size lower. Thanks for catching that!

You are able to change classes once you meet Marina, a woman that runs a shelter. If you talk to her and select to change classes, she asks "Whose class would you like to change?" From there, you can select the character you wish to change class and select the class to change into. Later on in the game, you are able to unlock an "ultimate" class for each of the four main characters by progressing through the character bonding system.

I had also noticed that sometimes after a fight I would not be able to heal. I am not sure what causes this; it could possibly be a bug. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!

I had placed the counter ability on some enemies in the game to prevent one from spamming the attack command in every battle. It is not a common trait in too many enemies of the game, however. For those enemies that do possess the counter ability, their chance of countering is never higher than 50%, so attacking may still be an option.

I know how to change my class.
But I need an explanation of the classes themselves.
Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding!

There are a total of 17 classes in the game. There is no penalty for changing your class, so feel free to explore and see what works best for your party! Please find below an explanation of each class in the game:

Rafael's Initial Classes:

Ranger: Specializes in using bows. Has balanced stats. Learns bow skills and stat enhancing spells. Weak to Dark, strong against Thunder.

Fencer: Specializes in using swords. Has stats favoring strength and defense. Learns physical-attack based skills and can bestow elemental attributes to regular attacks. Weak to Water, strong against Dark.

Mage: Specializes in using canes. Has stats favoring magic attack and magic defense. Learns offensive elemental spells. Weak to Holy, strong against Life.

Amia's Initial Classes:

Cleric: Specializes in using canes. Has stats favoring magic attack and magic defense. Learns healing spells, stat-enhancing spells, and holy magic. Weak to Thunder, strong against Holy.

Monk: Specializes in using claws. Has stats favoring attack, defense, and agility. Learns physical-attack based skills. Weak to Dark, strong against Physical.

Help!
I'm totally lost in the Ice-Tower (optional Dungeon on the snowy island).
I found 3 EXP-Orbs, stand at the third chest (somewhere to the north border) and hope you add a picture of your map that I can finally find my way to the centre or the exit again.
The Light4 animation is missing for me as well. It
s pretty good game so far, but would like to finish playing.

If you have another MV game with the missing data, copy + paste it into your animation folder (www/img/animations).
It's the only one missing so far.

@Rouhana:
Most skills are still German (I don't mind but those who can't speak German...)
The not able to heal bug is caused by the extra turn. When finishing the battle with the extra turn, those who haven't got the extra turn can't use skills after battle.

I have uploaded a map of the optional dungeon with the rest of the images posted for the game. Just in case you are not able to find your way out, you are still able to use the Teleport Stone to teleport back to Marina's shelter.

You are able to follow Firefly84's suggestion, or you can re-download the game and transfer your save over. I have updated the downloads to incorporate that file.

I had named some skills in German (such as "Haltung der Macht") in order to make them sound unique to the average English-speaking player. To prevent any confusion, I have listed a description of what each skill does in the menu.

Thank you for figuring out what caused that bug! Unfortunately, I am not sure on how to fix it. I used Galv's Extra Turn plugin to achieve this type of battle system. I have just contacted Galv in order to try and find a solution to this issue.

Overall, thank you all for your feedback.
I just have to quit for tonight after a battle image overlaying all other things.
I started to use escape because I'm level 99.
Have I missed the special class of Raphael?
Or should I have accepted the offer of this guy in the Noir Shrine?

I'm sorry, but I'm not too sure what you mean by "battle image overlaying all other things." If it's something I am able to fix I will work on it as soon as possible!

I made it possible to reach level 99 easily as a reward for those who explore everything. Exploring a lot in the game allows you to take advantage of Experience Orbs, new equipment, and secret boss-fights that give a lot of experience. In addition, if you have used Amia's "Alchemist" class and learned the skill, "Tiptoe," you are able to use it and decrease the encounter rate for a while.

To obtain Rafael's ultimate class, you have to max out your bond rank with Marina. After that, Rafael turns into a Divine Warrior.

Accepting the offer by Kalki at his shrine results in an early ending of the game--the Nihilist route. Declining his offer and beating him in battle results in you obtaining his sword, which has a chance to instant-kill enemies.
After reading your final choices I must admit that there isn't a true ending.
I may look into the other two, but not tonight.

I made the game not have a "true" ending as I wanted all endings present to be a viable option to the player.

Overall, I want to thank you for playing my game to its completion; it really means a lot to me! I hope you enjoyed it!
