The Story

You wash up on a beach one day, discovered by a worker from the nearby village. They welcome you into their way of life and treat you as one of their own.

From this point, you are given free reign to explore the your surroundings, aid the villagers in their problems, and find various allies to join your quest.
Eventually you might even be able to acquire a raft, and use it to explore the world beyond. Find your purpose.

Who are you?
Where did you come from?
Just what is happening in the lands beyond?

The Game

This is an open-world game. You may explore freely. (Although some more dangerous areas are blocked off until you unlock them via a quest or such) You can grab various supplies by roaming around. There is grass you can inspect to gather herbs, there are bags lying around containing randomized items/weapons/armors. You can mine ores to craft weapons. You can gather materials to craft armor. You may have up to five characters at once with you in battle. Take on quests and find out the story behind your true identity!

The Features

- Customize your characters to your liking. Each character can wear different types of weapons. The weapon they wear will change their skill set. Sword skills will differ from bows. Bow skills will differ from spears, etc.

- Furthermore you can equip various 'skillbooks' onto your characters. These range from books that grant you access to magic, to books that boost various stats like your strength and defense. Others still will cause your attacks to deal bonus damage to certain species. Balance your fighters or specialize their stats to your liking!

- Up to three different difficulty modes. Easy is for those not accustomed to RPG's. Normal mode gives a moderate challenge. Hard mode is for those with experience in strategy and battles.

- Craft powerful items, weapons, and armor by gathering ores or materials. Unlock more craft options by finding secret recipes hidden around the world!

- Over 16 characters to recruit in your party. Each character will have something to say at key moments in the game depending on if you recruited them into your party or not.

- Unleash powerful combos by using 'Union Artes'! These are co-op skills that can be used by two characters at once! You must have both characters in battle who meet the required costs to execute them. These skills are unlocked by finding secret scrolls hidden around the game.

- A variety of quests await you, each with great rewards. For those seeking the thrill of the hunt, there are also Bounties! Powerful beasts causing such havoc around the world, people are paying brave adventurers to take them out. Money is largely gained from taking on Quests and Bounties.

- 100% custom battle animations. A big thanks to Wheelmanzero for helping with some of the animations, also!

- Events change based on your choices. Such as there being times where you can ally with one side or the other, and things will play out a bit differently. This also changes the characters available to recruit.

Fixed some game breaking issues so if you couldn't continue past a certain boulder in the game, redownload and carry over your save and all should hopefully be good now!
Sorry about that!

Sent you a Pm, Firefly. :3

And thanks, Reggird!
Just downloaded your demo, time to test it out.

Okay already right off the bat found a small problem. If you pick either gender but then cancel out and pick the other gender. The game will force you to play as the first choice you picked and leave you with the default character name.

I had to restart the game to play as the male, I wanted to see what both characters looked like. And got stuck as a female when I backed out to play as the male. It's not game breaking but it's a little annoying having to restart the game to pick again.

found a game breaking bug, Once you get the boat and go across the sea and you get into the second town on the new island. Can't remember what the city was called but there is a cat. If you talk to it, it runs away, well I kept talking to it to the point it was near a wall. I talked to it again the cat ran into the wall and broke the game. I couldn't move nor open the menu and I had to close the game and resume from my last save spot which sad to say was way back in the first village.

Found another minor problem with the game, when helping out Jane she mentions that her brother needs the monthly medicine. Well she says it's on her boat however during the dialogue with her she says oat instead of boat. Also while we are mentioning the boat, when I went to the boat on the beach. Nothing was happening when I tried to interact with the boat. The tile next to the boat was the only way I could interact with it. I was interacting with the water crashing onto the beach instead of the boat itself.

Found another problem, not sure if I am just stupid or what but anyway I am currently in the ancient highway on the second island. I am currently taking part in the third puzzle the one where you have to push a boulder. Well I get it close to the end where you need to push it towards the red button. However the boulder doesn't move an inch and makes it impossible to proceed any further.
Whoo quite a few things xD

I'll look into the gender choice. I'm not sure how that happens but I'll see what I can do O:

Aw I'm sorry D: I'll fix that cat up. Thanks for letting me know!

Ah that's wierd. Might just be the boat size... I'll fix both of those things. ^^'

That's weird I haven't had a problem with that so far... I'll see what the issue is and get to working on it!

Thanks for the reports! It really helps. xD I hope you're enjoying the game nontheless!

That's great! I'm hoping I can get to completing it someday. It's quite ambitious but I can get alot done when the mood strikes haha.
And wow I'm flattered! x3 I'm glad you enjoy what I make haha, having people enjoy it makes it all worthwhile~

So hurry your butt up and finish that boulder problem so I can complete the demo I am really curious to see what happens after that part >w<
Alrighty. xD I was just giving it a bit to see if there was anyone else with any sort of problem before I got up a new download.

So I -think- I fixed the intro problem. Honestly I have no idea how it ended up happening. I'm not sure if my 'fix' even really worked. But it's something.
I couldn't replicate what you said happened after the fix so fingers crossed.

Fixed the cat and making a mental note to self; anytime you move an event, select 'skip if cannot move' There's hardly a time you don't want that sucker checked apparently.

Fixed the boat issues in the best way that I could~

Annnd I realized what you meant about the boulder puzzle and I believe I fixed it all up fingers crossed xD I tested it and it worked for me so hopefully it'll work for everyone else too haha.

Sorry for the wait~ Waiting on it to upload now~ Should be ready in the next... 30 minutes...?

As a side note; do feel free to let me know how your progress is so far! Your characters, their lvls, too easy/hard, anything if you feel like it~
Will do! I will be checking to see if the character select problem is fixed too. I might end up replaying through the entire game and see if I encounter any more problems.

Alright so I went ahead to see the gender selection was fixed and yes it would seem to be fixed. Same with the boulder problem so I was able to complete the minor puzzle and reach the final boss.

Now for the characters, I rather enjoyed all of them especially red. I even saved it and tried all kinds of methods to try and save him without him swimming even though by then I had the boat already.

Out of all the characters you get I hated Sylvia the most. Not sure if this was a glitch or a problem. I just didn't see the point in mentioning it until now. But once you get you she doesn't start around your level. Like Red or Jack they automatically start at or close too the same level as the main hero. So I never really used her much because by the time I got her it would of been a pain to level her up.

Anyway, the game had some challenging moments like the old one and the count. They were a bit on the hard side so much so I needed to grind to beat them up. I am not sure if you can fight the queen on the beach, I planned on restarting and trying to fight the queen without reporting back to the quest giver to see if the guard is gone or not.

I spent around 7 hours playing your demo going around trying to do all the quests I could find and all the bounties as well. The only quest I could not finish was for the cat where it runs off to god knows where lol. I spent almost half an hour going around trying to find that damn cat before giving up.

By the time I got to the final boss most of my party were in their fifties, aside of Sylvia who was in her forties. When it comes to rpgs I tent to over grind haha.
Fifties?! By the time I faced that boss everyone was around level 20. And I thought I was an over-grinder. I didn't even find Red, so it's no wonder why I was having so much trouble. I'm a terrible beta tester. *sniffle*
EnricBlack:

F-fifties? I'm speechless. xD Wait fifties in like seven hours? Using only the starting islands? o_o;

Sylvia was actually supposed to scale to your level, ooorrr start at the level that she starts at, 12. I'm gunna need to recheck that.

As for the cat, it has 3 different locations, 2 are in Rehda territory, and 1 is in Hershmaal territory. If you'd like a more precise hint, lemme know~

Trying to save Red thru all sorts of methods. That's devotion right there. xD

Yeah the Queen and a bunch of more stuff, HOPEFULLY the main island, will be up on the next update.

It's really awesome how much you're liking the game so far. XD Really makes all the testing and work worth it haha.
If you'd like I can list you as a tester too when I send out the next update to the testers you can check for some stuff as well~

Can never have too many testers on an open world game. >_> It'd be pretty hard for just one person to find everything, eh. xD

Wheelmanzero:

Fifties, apparently o_o

And were you having sort of too-much trouble without Red? I wanted the game to be sorta progressable at a decent pace even if someone misses a character, that way it doesnt punish you too hard for missing something here and there...
So was it too much or like, bare-able?

And nooo you've been great so far. XD You've helped me fix up some things yourself. It takes a village sometimes with games. <_>

Nah, I managed to make it through without Red with a little grinding and strategy, so at least now you know the game is beatable without him. When I finally got a full roster, things got a lot more manageable.

The only complaint I have is that almot all the enemies (especially those on the second island) outsped me, and there was no way to use healing skills outside of battle, which was kind of brutal. I was certain I was going to die against the final boss, but I managed to pull it off somehow around level 20. I'll have more details in my next report. Things ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm interested to see how the story will continue. I'm curious as to where to find Red now though.
Ah yeah I was wanting to make speed something of importance, something to think about building toward and not ignoring, but I feel I may have overdid it a bit. XD

Also, on the latest versions, I've made healing spells available outside of battle. I figured that was a touch too brutal indeed. xD

If you want I can pm you with either a hint or tell you how to get Red, just lemme know!~
Sure, go ahead and add me, if I find anything out of place I will let you know. and yeah fifties, when I left the first island my characters were in their mid twenties.

Will do~
And thanks a bunch!
i played the game, and i couldnt use spells, i bought and used the cards, the skills apeared on the characters menus, but in the battle the option for using spells was not there, is there a way to fix this?
In order to use a spell, you need to equip a book of the same element. For instance, if you want to use fire spells, you'll need to equip a Fire Grimoire. At least I think that's what it was called.
It would be nice if there is a choice where you'll choose no side and establish your own faction to beat the others. Prolly the possible hardest difficulty for this game.

As WheelmanZero said, you need the corresponding book to cast the element of the spell. If you talk to Meryl in the village, she tells you about spells and how they work. (Or if you've already talked to her and got the guide book, use it in the menu to re-read the instructions) o:

It probably would be but then I'd be getting so much Suikoden vibes. xD Maybe I can fit something similar in later on~
