As with my standard policy, this demo well not get a rating. but I must say I'm excited for this game now.
While I was a bit disappointed that we had a silent protagonist, Lunita's little animations were really adorable and spoke to the kind of character she is at the moment which appears to be a kid who doesn't full understand the responsibility she and her mother have. And like in Soma, all the character are likeable and maybe even funnier like Minister Orange or that washing machine cause they made me laugh. And I knew that computer guy was the villain the moment I read his text caused it just screamed "I'm looking for something important so you better not trust me."
As for the gameplay, I don't have much to say about except the whole during the moon during combat is an interesting game mechanic. That first real boss was a great tutorial on how it works with moon making the boss stronger but you can change it again to ruin his buff. I can just see this mechanic being a double edge sword later with some enemies being being stronger or weaker to different phases in the same fight like one is stronger at full moon but weaker at new moon but the other enemy is the exact opposite.
And besides the fact the art is a cute and cuddly as ever, the music was brilliant so far. It's like you took the two music styles from Soma finally did the nasty and we're listening to their talented children.
I don't know if this is going to be sold but if it is, I'll buy it first chance I get. It looks really good.
Yeah, the moon mechanic wasn't going to play as big a role as it was, but without it I didn't really have a "draw" to the battle system like in Soma Spirits. It turned out I could do a LOT more with it than I thought, so I made it a much more central part of the game.
