Firstly, i did not know what to expect really, going into playing this short RPG... but, i have to say that my expectations would not have been THIS... now that is not saying that the game is BAD, nor is it GREAT by any standards... but it is interesting, and pretty thoroughly thought out.

that was on the story side of the game, the Gameplay of course was the Default Turn-Based RPG that all we retro gamers came to fall in love with, the Characters in the game were also rather generic, nothing outstanding about them, but not at all BAD either, just OK.

the Music/Sound area of the game was also OK, nothing too fantastic, nor anything that was grating on the Ears... just OK.

what was the most interesting is not only the humor of exposing popular RPG... hmm, what's the word... "Tropes" i suppose?? anyways... it was amusing nonetheless, and the Endings were also interesting, Three in total with no true "Happy" Ending in sight... to be quite honest, at the end it made me feel like there was meant to be more, like a sequel of sorts, but since it was made SHEERLY for a contest, it would be safe to say that is not the case.

so what was my rating on this game, you ask? i will give it a 2.5, because it was OK and not bad at all, however i cant say that i see myself ever playing it again, after seeing all there was to be had, and not having all that much fun with it, there are many better RPGs here at RMN.

and now a word with the creator, yes you, do understand i am not out to de-rail you, or deter you from making more games, i just wanted to say that i like the route you was going for with the Story, i dont think i will ever overlook a party member ever again, doesnt feel good being rejected...

you know, the Story ACTUALLY seems to have affected me emotionally, that is something when a game does that for you, so i'm going to increase the score to 3 Stars, good job!

now, on to the next review, so many RPGs, so little time...
