OGG

All the songs in this version of the music pack are in OGG format. They all have loop points built in them, so every song will loop non-stop when played in your game. All the extra repetition in the OGG versions of the songs has been cut off to conserve space, so some of them don't last as long in media players as their MP3 counterparts do.

MP3

All the songs in this version of the music pack are in MP3 format. This version has been tailored to be more like a regular videogame soundtrack release.

Make your own then. No-one says you have to use it. That said, you're wrong anyway, so...

If it's free, I assume it'd be non-commercial.

That's what I figured as well, but I didn't know if there was some legal technicality due to Steam being a commercial platform. Thanks for the reply!

Amazing, amazing work! Thanks for this!
Maybe a silly question, but if I want to use this music in a game I release on Steam totally free, would that be considered commercial or non-commercial?
As long as you get the permission of the actual artists, then it should be fine.
Hello everyone. Me and my team would like to use the songs from the pack in our videogame. I read that the songs can only be used for non-commercial use, but we have to cover the cost of production and steam's fee, so we will publish the videogame for a price (even if it will be very low). Even so, could we use your songs from the RMN Music Pack in our videogame, please? Obviously, we'll put the name of every artist in the credits.

I already written to them to ask their permission, but I thought it was fair to ask the permission to the website too.
It just downloaded fine for me. What browser are you using? Do you have something that affects your downloads? Is your virus protector marking it as a false positive?

One should keep in mind that if they too have switched from non-commercial to commercial, they should remove these songs from their game. Also, if you are planning on making a commercial game with these songs, it's a no-go due to the license.

While that is the default agreement for using the tracks in this pack, developers are also free to contact the composers and ask for their direct permission to use the tracks in commercial projects. A few developers have asked me for that permission, and I have given it, along with a reminder that due credit is also expected.
Liberty is right about the song "Town of Wishes". It was put into the Tunecore system, which is strange to do for a video game song you want people to use. It copyright claimed a gameplay video of my own game because of the song, which means it would do it to others as well.

However, now that my game is commercial, I feel it should be mentioned this music pack's copyright license is for non-commercial use only. Thus, one should keep in mind that if they too have switched from non-commercial to commercial, they should remove these songs from their game. Also, if you are planning on making a commercial game with these songs, it's a no-go due to the license.

Much love, friends.
Wow!! how can I not see this beautiful collection yet?? they're very wonderful!! xDD congratulations on the artists! I would love to use some of these beautiful music in my game too! :) xDD
Just a heads-up - some of these songs will result in copyright claims on Let's Plays.

So far I know for certain that Town of Wishes is one such song. Just figure it's best to let people know that, in case it becomes a factor.

I am participating in an indie games contest in my town, so I wonder if I can use the "RNM Music Pack" in my game? And then I quote you as composers of every musical part of the game in the credits screen.

I thank them!

This music package is really wonderful, congratulations to all of you!
That should be alright as long as the actual game won't be sold for profit.

Cool ... Who is organizing the contest is the City Hall, so they plan to distribute free downloadable game, because it is about a topic related to the environment and sustainability! Thank you very much!
