EASY TO USE RM2K3 CHIPSET TEMPLATE

Most chipset templates I've encountered are nothing but a simplistic tile grid, like this one:


This is bad for the artist as it doesn't respect how the engine "slices" the tileset to use within the game, which make him/her constantly switching back & forth between RM's help file and their graphics editor of choice instead of concentrating on what's really important - the art itself.

This template aims to fix that issue as different slices are color-coded for the artist's convenience.

Note that this template requires use of your graphics editor grid feature which most of them now have. If the tile has slices meant to connect in specific way, such as autotile's corner tiles or shore borders, black lines are provided to indicate the way it is supposed to connect.
