Well... all the devs can do to prevent something like this (at least on MV) is to compile the game's source code to binary that nwjs can read. It can be a pain in the arse to do every time you update the game, but it can be automated with scripts (I even wrote an app for this).

Looks like that there are missing files. Can the dev upload a new version of the game that has all the files? Use the Deployment menu first.

It's been a while posting here.
So... I ported most of the game over to MV.
I did have to make a new battle system though.
I even played with Pixi effects within cutscenes. Example:
(Note that these videos were taken from older builds. The newer ones are more polished.)

Yeesh. What a cruel way for a game to die. If I read this correctly, you lost the project folder as well (or do you still have the folder?). Well... hopefully, you'll rebuild it someday (whenever you are ready). Maybe a lot better than the current versions.

Hello, aquatorrent. Thank you for reviewing my game. This is one of the most thorough reviews I received for a long time, and I am working on fixing as many bugs as possible. I didn't notice it until a month ago (as I was on vacation). I do have some comments on the review:
- There is a way to improve the game's performance by enabling OpenGL acceleration (it's on the launcher). I am trying to optimise the game as much as I can.
-The popup on Danotia is an easter egg. I have tweaked the popup's text so it's a bit more obvious.
-Could you please explain the story progression issue that you have?
