If there’s one thing that I hate about playing any SMBX games lately…

…Is how come when you’ve beaten a particular level and you happen to go back to it that you can’t just manually quit from that level and go back to the world map / hub world instead of just going back to the title screen? It’s annoying, especially when you’re on your last life and you forgot to save.

So, alas, into the pit I go… *jumps*

*sigh*
Just die. Even if you have no lives left you will start over on the world map with some more. You don't actually need to save in SMBX because you don't lose any progress. From what I remember. It's been a while since I played any.

It's actually something negative from a design stand-point. Lives are a useless reward because there is no real danger in losing them all.

There is a few options to put exits at the start of the level, but nobody cares about your problems ;)
You actually DO lose your current progress if you don’t happen to save and happen to die on your last life. If you do happen to lose all your lives, you'll start back at where you last previously saved with four more lives added.

Yeah, it really sucks about that, but I recently found a couple of levels on the game I’m currently playing where you can stock up on a ton of extra lives really, really quickly. Super RMN World had a couple of levels like that as well, so I never really had to worry about that type of problem.

Oh, and speaking of exits at the start of a level, I just found a couple of levels that do that, actually. It’s quite a nice feature. I wish more levels did that.
