Well, today was the day that my basketball of 4 years has finally died on me…by finally shedding one half of its remaining skin after shooting a less than stellar free throw attempt and getting itself caught up in the upright. It’s pretty sad, because when I first got this ball at Sportchek was the very same day that I started playing basketball regularly and became super interested in it because of a guy at work and it was a key driving factor in me getting into shape when I was going off the deep end for a little while there. I had played in the rain, intensive winds, the cold, chilling winters and kicked the ball like a soccer ball around multiple times against the wall when things weren’t going so great throughout the years. I loved that thing...

But today, the ol’ girl is finally dead…useable no more. And now, I have to go out and buy myself a brand new basketball that’s going to cost me at least $30 to get one at Canadian Tire.

Rest in peaces, old buddy. You’re bouncing on God’s court now. :(

Please tell me you are immortalising that piece of rubberised leather, it surely deserves a permanent home that isn't the tip.
