1.06 update The Biggest Update that was waiting for 3 years! In Azk@b@n!!!

Oh yeah... Forgot to change the saving function for the story... So yeah try not to use that function to save since it's full of bugs, just use the save function in the menu for now (it will be deleted soon so enjoy it while it lasts)

A new character? Rene/Read? (I see what you did there). Nice outfit! Look how smug. And the slightly wobbly mouth. What are they worried about, I wonder? Seeing this lovely character art made me smile.
Do you have any other social media apart from Tumblr I can follow? Also I hope you’re doing ok this summer.
ATM not much for a social media except for Tumblr (Although just for you I guess I'll make a Twitter I'll post it when I make it)
But thank you!!!!
Also just posted THE DEMO (Like the other were demos but this was the one so far that has bridged the gap the most between what I had versus what I want the finalized project to look like)
With lots of not cringe-dialogue, and hopefully some actually fun/engaging gameplay

I’m playing the Game but can’t save with the red book.
The font is grey and if I click on File 1 it says “Saves the current progress in your Game". But nothing happens if I click again. So I can’t save.

So yeah just came back from summer training so I haven't been able to respond to anything with my laptop lately so I do apologize. Anyways, in certain areas where there is an immediate danger of being killed you are unable to save, but other than that you should be able to save nearly anywhere (also assuming you have the Read Story in your inventory, because in some areas you may have it taken from your possession.) if there is any other bugs please message me with the details and I'll try to have them fixed ASAP. Thank you!

Since your last update/ Blog Post are 3 Months ago. How is the status?

Welp, I just finished the last of my finals so I've been really busy, however there the art has been massively revamped and I completed 2 different puzzles and added 4 different maps. I fly out to go do some training on my birthday, the 16th of June so I'm hoping to release the next update by then.

I gave this game a quick try and ended up playing through 3 different endings.

I can't say I really understand depression nor could I relate to the main character, but I enjoyed the tone and mood of the game. The way you used the screen tint and music to tacitly inform the player of their progress was nice.

Progression through the story felt a bit rushed though, to me anyway. I wish that there were more dialogue so I could have better understood the characters' minds, feel more involved and more empathetic towards them. But it might be a minor nitpick.

Overall, good job ;)

I do agree that more content definitely could've been added to the game, but alas this was a university project(psychology) that I decided to take upon myself in order to educate a population about depression which I had a time limit of 2 weeks so there some culling was done to get the main point across within a short time haha.

Also regarding your first point, Mr. Black was not really supposed to be a relatable character rather he was supposed to representative of individuals that people around the age of 18-30 don't particularly think about, the middle-aged population/elderly population (yes 65 is considered more elderly but you know).
Spoilers
Also the 4 ends are supposed to be: the good ending, the neutral ending, the bad ending, and the dead end. Good is when you make all the right choices, neutral is when you make a mix of good, bad, and neutral choices and you choose to wake up, the bad ending is where you choose to make all the bad choices, and the dead end is where you are on any path but the bad path and decide to not wake up.

Also, thank you for the feedback! Although The Story After is the main project that I'm working on, I may come back to this project and add more features if people want it enough.

Almost there...

Thank you!@cutiesbae @Make_it_MagiK! You are sincerely appreciated!

Well, yes it was quite dark, but that was because I didn't have Mara hold the flashlight for the sake of the image. Rather than trying to show off the room exactly, I was more trying to show that progress is being made for the game. But yeah, for the darker areas you will have a flashlight that you can use. (After you find it in a dark area mind you.)

Haha. Yes, an excellent movie indeed. Once again, this is another wonderful piece by my artist: yo_roppa. This is my intended background for the game, but I'm having trouble adding more flavor to title screen. I want to make it more personal rather than a static image and a default font.
Would you happen to have any good recommendations on things I can do?

Hello, the "Colors of the World" puzzle is either displaying the wrong numbers, or the mechanics in the game are not acting how they should.

2 Left Orange, 18 Left Red, 3 Right Orange, 7 Down Red, 3 Up Orange, 4 Left Red.

If you follow the orange ones only, nothing happens, if you follow only the red ones nothing happens, if you follow both orange and red instructions nothing happens, if you follow both orange and red instructions excluding the 18 left as that cannot be performed, nothing happens. Either the numbers need to be re-arranged, the mechanics within the game need to change so that they correspond with the numbers shown, or there's a hint that's not visible with the hints given.

EDIT: The darkness area in general is absolutely big & mindbogglingly difficult for any player.

Well, that is because you need to read the shining memo twice. And within the memo you will need to solve the word puzzle to discover the directions you need to go. So green would be "Up" for the directional keys, Orange is "Down", Red is "Right", finally as to not make it too obvious, Blue is the "direction of the heart" and your heart is to your left, so Blue is "Left"
As such the puzzle would translate as 2 down, 18 right, 3 down... etc.
The direction that is written is a red herring to throw you off. And if you ever get lost in the huge expense, you just need to go up and left to the start point.

Mistakes were made...
For the second puzzle for "Colors of the World" instead of the first direction being 7 it is supposed to 6. so please go 12 down rather than 14 down for the second puzzle. The rest remains the same. Thanks.
