favorite anime movie?
Ever watch old dubbed Jackie Chan films? They are AWESOME. (Like, old chinese guy with a hillbilly southern accent. pure win)
You're talking about Drunken Master, right? That movie cracked me up with its language. For almost half an hour at a time, the worst thing you'll hear is 'dumbhead', and then all of a sudden everybody's dropping 'c***sucking b*****d' every other sentence.
Favorite anime movie is hard to pin down. For the time being I'm gonna go with Sword of the Stranger. Excellent, excellent work, if startlingly bloody-minded at points.

Nope. I just had to have some work done on an abscessed tooth. I'm also going to have to get an implant at some point.
Ouch, ouch, ouch. I have four extra wisdom teeth, myself. I was like, "WTF?" but my dentist just shrugged and said that it sometimes happens.

Inspiration and Work Ethic

If you lose interest in your project, it's probably a boring game after all. The rule I always use is if you're having fun the player most likely will too. Not exactly always true as it could still be a bad game, but one thing is for sure is that if you're bored making the game, it will be even more boring to play.
I wish I had your ability to find the fun in things. Generally speaking, the parts that I hate doing the most are the parts that players have the most fun with. I'm eventing this village now where you have to do several tasks (read: puzzles) for the villagers so they will give you hints for where to find the men you're looking for (which is itself a logic puzzle). My playtester says it's some of the most fun he's had in this game, but it's taken me almost two weeks to do (for only 15 min of playtime, if that!) because I simply cannot /stand/ to do it.

Anyone play WoW around here?
I don't play retail anymore; I stopped when I got tired of working for weeks and get something and then the devs swoop in and take it away. I've never seen what I consider to be a really good RPG come from Blizzard - while I don't dislike the Diablo series, I don't think it deserves its legions of fans either. I think Blizzard would be best served by sticking to RTS. IMHO, that's what they're best at.

All my gamer friends but one swear by Xenosaga. They act like it's the Ark of the Covenant or something.
And as long as we're talking about her, I didn't like Shion in the first two games, but I didn't actually dislike her until the third. Then I started to hate her.
Estrella, I've heard that SO3 is amazing, but it's usually the same people who like Xenosaga telling me that. The little bit of it I managed to drag myself through was not impressive.
Star Ocean 4 on the other hand was so shallow it's beyond belief, unless halfway in it's revealed that the whole thing was Edge hallucinating from drug use, and that he was actually just a nobody who called himself a pathetic name he though was cool. In which case, SO4 might qualify for Greatest Game Ever. Anything short of that, and it ends up on this list.
Actually, this is 'best' game you don't like, isn't it? SO4 probably doesn't even qualify past the first word.
