Battle Animation rotation in RM2K3? (Ugh, badly worded. My apologies)

The question won't exactly fit in the topic title I suspect.

Anyway, I was wondering if, for the battle animation set, if you wanted to rotate a sword or something around in a circle, would you need to spend 4 or 8 or so of your 25 frames JUST making that thing go around? Or is there some way to take a static sword graphic and rotate it using the in-engine animation editor?

EDIT: Okay, so say I've got this sword here:

Is there any way I can make it go rotate like so (crappy ninety degree turnflips yay. The actual thing would obviously be more fine-tuned, and the blue background transparent):

in the in-game engine, or will I have to set up my battlesheet like this:

Because that would totally suck.

Not help, necessarily, but something I've always wondered in RM2K...

and by 'always', I mean 'Hey, I just noticed this...huh.' :-\

...the MapXXXX.lmu files have 4 digits. So what would happen if you used more than the 9999 maps this provides you? Would it let you? (Hypothetically, obviously in any real game nobody would need that many maps...)

Yea, stupid question...but it's something I've been wondering. (And with it, I've been wondering why in the *#&% would anybody need 10,000 maps.)

Making a character temporarily invincible (or at least close >_>) during battle? (RM2K)

Is there any way I can accomplish this with RM2K's battle system? (Also, is there any way I can induce a condition upon myself, using an item of some sort?)

CMS help (RM2000) [RESOLVED]

Okay, so I've got my CMS all set up and such. I go to run it, it works fine up until I try to exit the menu.

The hero is unable to move. I solved this by making the menu event parallel process instead of Auto Start, but then the hero is able to move while the menu is accessed which is not what I want.

-Not- selecting a transparent color for pictures? (RM2K) [Resolved]

Any way to do this, mainly for pictures? Or will I have to just make one little pixel transparent in a far off corner and hope nobody notices it (my picture covers the whole screen?

(AKA One of those questions where once you guys explain it (if it is in fact doable) I will feel like such an idiot for not realizing it because it is either A.) obvious or B.) Stated in some help topic I've scoured for about an hour while glossing over the one thing I need help on. :P)

Much thanks in advance.

(RPG Maker 2000) The variable refuses to change!

At all.

Here's the story:

I've made a common event. I know this common event works by leiu of a message test (where I insert a blank message at the spot where I want things to occur. I attempt to then replace my message with a change in a certain variable. No matter what I do in terms of changing it, said variable stays at 0.

(I cut the code down to its simplest form possible. Won't even set the thing at 20. >__>)

New here.

Hey and somesuch. I suppose this is where I tell you all a little bit about myself.

Well, I guess I can start by saying that I primarily use RPG Maker 2000 for my little creation, Project 51. Found here: www.freewebs.com/project512

Yea, I'm too lazy to actually pay for a site, so myeh. It's good enough for me.

Do note, however, that if you download the version I have up it is now getting an extreme makeover (and by extreme I mean EXTREME) and will not look like that in the slightest when it's finished in (I hope!) around a month.

So..yea...I basically joined up to ask a question (I admit it! ;._.) but am hoping to stick around for a while as well. Not sure when I decided this, maybe just now. But nevertheless...meh.

And this is my ending. Very creative, yes?
