ALPHAOMEGA247'S PROFILE

Was deemed by the Arishok as one who commands a great deal of respect. Was recently thrown out of a wheat field for going against the grain. Once conquered Rhode Island using a can of lima beans, a yo-yo, and a used copy of Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3 on Blu-Ray. Is a founding member of the band Bladder Failure, whose hit single "Flushed From the Bottom of My Heart" spent nearly six minutes atop the Canadian Top 10 (until the software glitch was corrected). Invented the word "zfaifnv" while trapped in the back of a UPS truck with a flatulent snapping turtle.

The other thing I usually notice the most when reading older posts is how my English has improved over the years. I've always thought I have a decent grasp of English but going back I find that my vocabulary was a lot smaller in the past (not that is it particularly large these days either) so the writing often feels simplistic even though I tried to convey great thoughts.
I think your English is just fine. I never would have guessed it's not your first language. In fact, I think it's better than a lot of people who speak English as their only language. XD

I didn't know who the romance options were when I started Inquisition, so I kept waiting and waiting for a lovely lady to show up and sweep my Inquisitor off his feet. I wound up with Dorian... ...

Yourself

I think my very first foray into the Internet was some Zelda site. I was there for like a week, and then somebody made fun of me... I couldn't take it and I never went back. I've definitely gotten some thicker skin since then. Nothing bothers me now. XD

I spent some time on GameSpot after that, and it lasted a few years. I don't remember much about my early days, there... only that I was mostly a nonentity. I was 15. My early blogs were all about the unexciting details of my life. "Oooh, I'm sick of life! Ooh, my girlfriend broke up with me after a whole two weeks! Oooh Metroid is too hard!! Oooh woe is me." Typical moody-emo-spoiled brat sort of stuff. I soon realized that nobody wanted to hear any of that. I have since changed my evil ways. I still occasionally delve into the details of my personal life, but not nearly as much as I used to. And I don't whine about every little thing.

Despite being so dreadful, I eventually made some good friends, and as GameSpot made its long and painful transformation into utter shit, we ventured out on our own and started a ZetaBoard, which promptly died. Then I went through my homeless phase. I lived on the streets of the Internet with no site to call home. Then, for some reason, I decided to get back into RPG Making after a very, VERY long hiatus, looked around for a fun community to join... found one... didn't join... went back to join a few weeks later, but didn't remember the name of the site correctly and joined here by mistake... I guess, in the end, things worked out okay. XD It's been a difficult transition, though. I'm not the leader here, I'm not the center of attention... I'm a bona fide nobody. That drastic shift has taken some getting used to, but I suspect that, given enough time, my taint will spread and consume RMN.

I think you might need to seek medical attention, Corfaisus. XD

Finally beat Dragon Age: Inquisition. Did a little bit of Classic Mode in Smash... and now I'm delving into Captain Toad. Good game so far, but it's truly an exercise in sitting as still as humanly possible. The camera, for some reason that eludes comprehension, is controlled by moving the GamePad. You can also control it with the C-Stick, but the motion controls cannot be turned off. GRRRR.... GRRRRR!!!! I'm antsy. I change position on the couch like 10 times every minute! Okay, maybe I'm not that bad... but every time I move... there goes the camera!

I Googled my username and discovered there are other people using it! At least I pretty much dominate the Google image search. I'm pleased to say that there's nothing creepy associated with me, either. My real name yields some wild results, but most of it has nothing to do with me.

I had very high expectations going into Dragon Age 2, as well. I kept wondering when I was going to get to leave Kirkwall and go explore. And then came the realization that I wasn't leaving Kirkwall... So my first playthrough was certainly lackluster, but when I went through the game a second time, my expectations were appropriately lowered and I enjoyed it a lot more. And I played as the snarky/sarcastic Hawke, which was great.

like keep Wynne alive
I should've just left her dead. She disagreed with just about everything I did and would only let me do it OVER HER DEAD BODY. Which then resulted in a fight to her death.

Is it even necessary to play the first Dragon Age? I know it's probably a stupid as fuck question but I keep hearing these great things about the second/third, and I could never get into the first.
No. Just know that there was a blight and your character in Origins ended it. Dragon Age 2 seems to have more impact on Inquisition, but the choices you made really don't make any difference. Just read a plot summary.

Generally, the things you did in the first two games have ZERO impact on the story in Inquisition. Your choices will impact some of the dialogue, but it's very minor. I don't even know if going through Dragon Age Keep was worth it, because the vast majority of the stuff mentioned there is irrelevant to Inquisition.

The Ban Game

I ban Christamoose for banning me TWICE. That's some nerve you've got there, sir or ma'am.

What’s Your RMN New Year’s Resolutions For 2015

My only resolution is to finish The Legend of Blake and have it not completely suck. If it partially sucks, that's okay, but complete and total suckage will be an unacceptable outcome.

Once that's out of the way, I might try my hand at doing something else around these parts, but until then, I'm reminded of the words a wise woman once said, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
