ANIMEBRYAN'S PROFILE

I had to "Old Yeller" my old laptop, a laptop that has given me a decade of entertainment, became the ultimate retro console thanks to emulators, and has allowed me to pursue my dream of being a game designer with both RPG Maker & SMBX. Now, ALL of that work, is gone. This is not how my 40th birthday should be. I am dead inside now. I just don't give a shit about anything anymore ;_;

Where can I find this SMBX2 It sounds awesome, and I'm defiantly on board if there's another event sometime down the road.

SMBX2 Beta 4 Patch 3

raocow's LP

Yay! The band is getting back together! I also recommend using SMBX2. The newest features & npcs are just waaay too good to pass up. The only tricky thing is the Lua aspect. I never learned to code myself but quite a few members of the SMBX forums tend to make NPC Packs similar to how programmers make scripts & plugins for RPG Maker.

They're mostly plug 'n play but some require modding a lil' bit. Another collab project would be fun. SMBX could use a revival.

I don't see how anyone can stand listening to him ramble & babble on like that. I watched like the first 4 videos & I had to turn the volume down to near minimum just to put up with it, but watching with no commentary is boring. If only he would calm down & actually comment on the levels & gameplay themselves instead of just talking about things that have nothing to do with the game.

2/25/18 Version 1.whatever Patch

Well, you should check that 'last level' to make sure that killing all the enemies does what its supposed to since I did it several time but to no avail.

2/25/18 Version 1.whatever Patch

What exactly are these 'minor' changes?

It's a self-imposed challenge. Gamers used to do them in the age before achievements. ;P

Wait, so you mean there's no official challenge within the game itself? Then that means there's no reward in doing it, which makes it not worth it (so much for doing 5 full character runs then)

I'm unhappy I had to go so far with my changes, but I just couldn't have a repeat of SRB3.

Seriously? You still consider SRB3 to be a bad game? That was actually the 1st RMN Bros. game I've ever played & that's what got me hooked onto the series (even got me to play the 1st two despite their flaws). It also one of the longest/biggest games of the series & I still remember being one of the first few to reach that unforgivable level, The 'Impossible' Star. Its technically my top favorite out of all of them, despite some of the rage it induced.

STTB is a hard hurdle to clear, having played both the RMN Bros. series & STTB myself. I'm not so optimistic myself that this series has actually caught up to them yet. Don't get me wrong though. Super RMN World was an impressive game for the series, but there's just something about STTB that stands out more (Can't recall specifically since its been a while since I played them).

I'm just curious what other secrets Hali said he would put in that weren't in the beta (with all the power-ups from the vaults how much more can you do? Secret levels perhaps?)

EDIT: Nice profile page, but what the hell is this All 5 All 5 Challenge?! How can SMBX 1.3 keep track of which character collects which flowers? What is this sorcery?!

CHECK YOUR STAGES

Just a heads-up to let you know that all my beta test videos are now set to private. I no longer have 'immediate' access to the internet anymore as the internet in the computer lab I normally use was cut off about a month ago. I have no idea when or if it ever gets turned back on. I'm at a local library right now but its a pain to come to daily so I'll only be checking in once every week or two. This also puts a serious damper on my YouTube channel as well, but I can still record LPs.

I just hope the public release comes soon.

I responded to Bryan's stuff on his video, but that brings me to some unfortunate news. Before this game is released, I think we should hide/privatize/archive/whatever all the old test videos. I just don't want prospective players to search up gameplay vids only to find a bunch of outdated ragey content. Make sense? I hate to throw out all that effort, but it has served its purpose at this point.

I always figured it would come to this. After all, those test videos are basically spoilers for those who have yet to play the game but they did also work as advertising for the game though. So should I start making all those videos private now?

CHECK YOUR STAGES

Here's my testing for my levels:

The only real problem I had was in Mini-Boss Factory where you allowed Boom-Booms & paratroopas to go over a wall that kept them from ambushing the player from above. That section is more difficult now because of that.
