Is this a good idea for making Youtube Videos?

I don't know were else I should post this on the forum :P Welp, I guess since it's related to RPG Maker, but not games, I should be alright.

The idea is that I would use RPG Maker to make sprite animations. How? Well, I figured I would just... I dunno, make a new document, use the event system to make scenes, and stuff like that. Basically, I'm making sprite animations reminiscent of the early Final Fantasy games. I plan to make my own sprites for fully original series, but I'm also thinking of doing the usual video game parodies as well.

I know that sprite animations are already well-known and well-loved genre on Youtube(Or at least was, I'm not aware of it's state currently), but to my knowledge, most of them are Super Smash Bros-esque crossovers in which two characters fight to the death. I want to stand out and do actually series that don't focus only on fighting.

Just wondering, is this whole idea something that you might like? Thanks :P

I need feedback on an idea...

As said in my previous post, I don't know where else to put this in detail. Sorry if this isn't appropriate to post here :(

Anyhow, I've been thinking about this idea for a while, and I have asked people about it on other sites, the response being mixed to negative(One said the idea(More specifically, the setting) made no sense and that it was a clusterf*** of ideas, and the other said that they might play it, but it sounded complicated). I decided to post it here to see what you people think.

The idea is basically a game set in a planet called The Refuge, which is an artificial planet, located in an isolated area of the universe, made to house refugees of various races and origins escaping from an evil space confederacy. Fast forward a couple centuries, and the game begins as you play a teen human living in a small town on the Refuge, who learns that the entire planet is in danger of being conquered by the previously mentioned confederacy, who made a base on one of the Refuge's two moons.

The game is actually inspired by Earthbound(In fact, this idea was originally going to be an Earthbound fangame, but I decided to make it more original, just in case Nintendo decided shove a C&D down my throat, as one guy warned me), and thus will have an Earthbound-y feel to it, with the addition of side quests, minigames, and a more advanced battle system.

So, I'm not asking for feedback on the game itself, but the IDEA. Is this something you would play? Oh, and suggestions would be nice too ^_^

Thanks for your time!

[RMVX ACE] Is giving a game Atari 2600 style graphics a good idea?

I don't know where else to post this. So anyways, I'm making a game called "The Masters of Mondaian." It's about a guy who falls into another, surreal version of Earth called Mondaian, and goes on a quest to return home. I don't want to give away too many details, mostly because I don't want ideas getting stolen and I'm still in the brainstorming phase.

So I figured for starters I could go and give the game custom graphics in the vein of the Atari 2600. The reason being for this is because it's simple to make and it can still look decent and unique if done right. But I'm worried people will consider the game's graphics to be TOO simple. So I'm just wondering, would YOU, as a player, want to try a game that has Atari-style graphics? Thx in advance!
