Maybe I'm thinking over simplified but isn't there a script from Hime (I may be wrong I'd have to look) that allows you to have control over followers, that could work!

I never care for followers except in games where battles occur in the same place as regular exploration. Think Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 12, and what-not.

Yeah, I've made use of this script, it works great ^_^

Oh yes, it's a life saver! Having built in caterpillar is awesome but it really spices up cutscenes with ease. :D
