Music is not there for the character to hear, but for the player to know the character's mental and emotional state. But unlike with the pain and the physical effort of game characters, experiencing their internal thoughts and feelings by the player is often the intended result. That's the immersion.

Ahahah ok here's some suggestions XD
Since hide tags can't hide youtube vids I'm just going to link them outside OTL
Kid's equipment, Clear Light, should be unequipped to win against the Goddess. Since she uses Black element against you, that's why he dies so fast.
Strategy #1
Use Tyrfling at the start of the battle.
Defend and Keep throwing Ruby Roses at the goddess/Use Little Meteor
Keep Making Kid use chocolate nuggets on himself
If low on HP Defend then Serenade Bell. This will make Sairen always go first.
Once Kid's TP is 100 use Akasha.
Phantasmagoria should activate around Turn 5/6 when you used it.
Boss would be dead by Turn 5 if you did it right.
Not so lucky in this vid but it still ended xD

Check Sairen Equipment, Look at Tyrfing's Description. If Contract is around 30s or so you should be safe.
Use Quick Slash and healing as second command. If she counters, try again and pray she doesn't counterattack again. If she counters twice, stop.
Spam chocolates at Kid. Use Akasha if possible.

Maybe it probably didn't activate fast enough is that Sairen died?
Phantasmagoria's turn count only happen when Sairen is alive.

Phantasmagoria is activated when you throw Tyrfing (Use Tyrfling) and just wait for 6 turns, then I think another few turns later ????? will activate and it will continue on being like that until the enemies die.

Tyrfling actually has 2 versions, one is Phantasmagoria and another skill later will appear that is way stronger than Phantasmagoria. I couldn't test it on this new version of the Goddess so I'll see how much damage it can do. And gives you the black version of the Tyrfing which is stronger for your Quick Slashing needs. But I'm glad you saw it :D
Also holy crap at 169, you will make Kyrsty cry, she reached 94 contract only hahaha. I'm glad that you find Sairen actually usable and isn't much of a glass canon!
As for overplaying that Sairen is weak, most of the time I heard from people that Sairen dies a lot and... Kid. I thought Sairen was versatile in my playthroughs since Sairen's style is pretty much, "Kill or be killed."

That first strategy, I knew that Alchemy will still be useful in that battle! *fist pump* You can actually beat her at Rank 2/3/4 so I was surprised that you reached Rank 5! Did you happen to grind or is it just something that happened normally? And judging by the Stimulant comment...I guess Sairen died...a lot.
In your equipment, what is Tyrfing's Contract #? Did you also try Tyrfling? (if not, try waiting for 6 turns after throwing it :3).
I'm also glad you used Akasha, it was awesome, wasn't it? ahahaha.
I hope you saw the message after the credits! The password is given there.
I also updated the download after finding 2 bugs, one is pretty major but will only happen if you use the thing from the freebies and the other one is just super minor and wouldn't really break the game.
The total HP is intentional :)

Stuff to think about
Hi there! I'm going to give a list of suggestions to help ~
If Ruri is supposed to be for comedy relief, then it might be better not to make her the main character at all! It could be possible that she's a mock protagonist. But the thing about Ruri is that her responses are childish and unreasonable, which added on my hatred for her. She's just not redeemable enough, it's possible because your pacing was far too broken or hasted, something along those lines. She just feels so...immature and annoying and, idk, how old is she? Because she might be on character after all and I just hate her guts.
It's actually connected there! I was like, who the hell is Shoko again, I thought she was mute but she's talking all of a sudden. The pacing felt broken since like what GRS said, it felt like the cast was thrown into our face and we couldn't remember who is what.
And that's it for now I believe.
Ruri was not particularly liked. I'm not sure what to make of that. See, I get into a certain mind-set when writing for Ruri. She practically writes herself! Her antics are supposed to be for comedy relief more than anything else, but the judges were annoyed by her. That would mean that other people would be annoyed by her too. To be honest, I just don't know what to do.

The sequence where the characters introduce themselves. Er, yeah, I should probably break that up somehow. Maybe instead of everybody introducing themselves all at once, maybe just talking to each class member normally on the "first day" would be sufficient? I'm really not sure what my other options are.
I couldn't hear/understand her very well, but I think Nessiah had a complaint about Shoko? Maybe not? She was definetly saying something about Shoko. I should probably re-listen to to podcast, and generally make an attempt to figure out what she's even saying.
