Theia - The Crimson Eclipse

I've finally finished the game in all of its glory (clocked in around 43 hours)! S-ranked everything and finished all of the optional side quests, too (I'm just missing a single chest...).

I first found out about your game when only the Italian version existed a couple of years ago. I was so excited to play it that I slogged through about 2/3 of the game with Google translate. I never expected an English release to come out until you made an update post about how the translation was coming along, so I stopped playing then and patiently waited until the translation was released. Big thanks to your translation team for making this gem playable in English!

This is probably my new favorite RPGMaker of all time. The voice-acting and the vast amount of side-content with the very fitting OST pulled from so many different sources but combined into one very cohesive game has left me in awe. Seriously, I hope you know that what you've created was a blast to play through!

Are you working on any new games (sequel please! you can't leave us hanging after the "epilogue"...)? I'll be glad to check them out if you are!

Update - March 2019

There's no hurry. I still need to play a few mediocre JRPGs that make me so frustrated that Theia will blow my mind. :)

One question: Is there a walkthrough/guide for Theia floating around in the Italian community or will you write one yourself? If not, I would be tempted to dabble in writing one. Years of studying GameFAQs shall finally pay off.

There is actually an official Italian guide (complete with pictures!) that already exists as a PDF. I might have it lying around somewhere on my computer if you can't find it online somewhere. Was still usable with google translate from Ita -> Eng.

Revenant Gods - Ragnarok Chronicle

Played through the demo, and the battle system feels really polished!

You should look to balance the support artes though. 1 AP for 30% healing and half a bar of Aeon makes all battles trivial when you realize you can just outlast a boss by healing and building Aeon (while getting 9+ AP) to two shot a boss with.
Instead of a burst of healing, maybe make it a regenerative effect that heals over time instead.

Really hyped for the actual release!

Nocturne: Rebirth (English)

Like gabranth said, the Rising Sun Spear and Full Moon Sword does physical damage over time to Luna and Reviel. To reduce the DoT, equip a barrier amulet or a stone ring. Luna comes with one stone ring and barrier amulets drop from the final dungeon (either use familiars like the "puff-ball bunnies" with loot rise or equip a familiar with Treasure Hunt). Stone ring reduces the DoT by 4 and barrier amulet reduces the DoT by 8.

Anyone know what you get for clearing the no brave level challenge? It's starting to look doable now that I've gotten good gear and hit the level cap.

EDIT: I did it! Beat the no brave level challenge! A little sad that there's nothing left to do in the game. This empty feeling of completion...

I had the same problem, but you should follow eplipswich's advice. Open up your menu, go to "Manual," then go to "Item Glossary." Look for the golden spear/staff icon that you got and check the weapon description. It gives you a clue as to where to go to access the post-game.

If you do translate more games of this quality, where do we find out?

I played Seraphic Blue but only made it halfway through before I got burnt out. It was a good game for its time though.

Nocturne: Rebirth (English)

Congrats! It sucks that we can't use the "prized sword" but I guess it's because it's a different weapon type, similar to how the Apocalypse is a staff despite totally looking like a spear.

From what I can tell, unlike the sorcerous swords where you can equip a ring/bracelet to reduce the elemental damage over time, the Rising Sun Spear and Full Moon Sword can't have its DoT reduced.

You're going to have to just outheal the damage (although you could always just equip them right before you throw down some long cool down skill, and then unequip them the next turn so you don't have to deal with the health drain).

Btw, the special swords/spears that do damage to your characters give bonus stats like Attack, Mentality, Speed, etc. so when you decide what to use, look at the status page for the full picture of what they do.

If the fight is still too hard for you, here's another tip:
There should be a familiar with the stone called "Spiritual Ear" (it's the green puff-ball). It has really strong original abilities that can completely fill up one ally's AT gauge or completely empty an enemy's AT gauge (Movement Aid and The Grudge, respectively). It also has Phantom Butterfly as a spell, which can empty about half an enemy's AT gauge.

Furthermore, it has EXP Rise and Loot Rise, which are infinitely useful to get to level 40 for the fight and to get the super secret late game items (like 2x Full Moon Swords for Reviel).

You should definitely use the Speed Star formation and have Luna cast Gospel Verse at the start. If you properly paralyze Tae and utilize your delays, you can keep her from using any moves at all!

That's all from me, GL.

Nocturne: Rebirth (English)

The only eye skill you need is Eye of Illusion. Max it to level 5 and it should have no problem hitting all three of them for their respective vulnerabilities.
