Dungeon Design
Good blog entry, alot of them arent to my liking but this one was refreshing. Im working on a dungeon crawler so I find alot of what you discussed essential. I feel a mental and physical test keeps the player on their toes, Balmung Cycle as well as Starless Umbra are two games that I feel follow your design to the tee.
I never sketch out my dungeons, but like I said with a dungeon crawler it may be a good idea to start doing so. Good read my man.

Some New News
I appreciate it TAU, I can honestly count the amount of RM2k3 projects that are still in production on two hands. Its hard to keep working on this, but its my baby and I feel that a release like this is something I have to keep going with. Now to find some pawns to help me map dungeons.
Starless Umbra 8.0.0b released!
I dont feel like writing a review until this project is fully completed, I dont feel like anyone should either. By far on of the best RM games Ive played so far and it just keeps evolving. Great work on this release, I found one passibility bug but other than that it was a solid release. DynRPG? Cherry's program really works wonder huh? Great work and keep the releases coming.

Your Characters (Don't) Have Stats
Sounds good to me, I have a Talent System in my game that is pretty similar to this. It really makes your game stand out and I dont feel that taking stats away will hurt it, however what purpose does equipment have now? Would they possess more of a Trait system as well since there are no stats at all in the game.
