Some Final Fantasy spinoffs had Green Mages. They exclusively use status effect spells.

Basically they kinda suck.

To answer the question: life force controllers. Plant life and animal life. So... druid, but more focused on the magic and less focused on vestigial shapeshifting.

I know that feel. I myself was like "I will start gam mak when I get assets". Now I'm like "I will start gam mak when I get enough experience with jam games".
