I may or may not have said that in the past, I don't recall, but I can play them now and I do. As I said, what I said wasn't meant to say that these games were bad, but simply not on my own "favorites" list. I've played them all except Master of the Wind... which I really have no intention of playing. Just as you chose your games for those reasons, I would choose games for different reasons. Especially because most of this list veers towards "traditional RPG," and while I do enjoy a good traditional RPG, I tend to popular my favorites lists with a variety of genres.

Chaos, why do you assume that? Just because I put graphical effort into my games doesn't mean I really care about it. My favorite RM games have ugly graphics (Three the Hard Way, Pangaea Chronicles, Jay's Journey.)

I would've included catmitt's games, and probably Desert Nightmare. (I don't mean that to toot my own horn, I translated it but it's NOT MY GAME.) And Ascendence too. Oh, and I'd probably point at Paraise Blue as well. And Pirates: The Legend of the Silver Crescent.

I was exaggering though, I do like some of the games up there other than Dhux's Scar, but Dhux's Scar is the only I'd put on my "best of 2009" list, except for maybe Hero's Realm. I don't really care for Starless Umbra. That game just felt like shoving in as many custom systems as possible for the sake of having custom systems.

All of them are very glowing! As a community game being reviewed well by the community and the specific people who made it, this doesn't warrant much more serious analysis.

And it was only YDS and I who made the game, everyone else just submitted dialogue or whatnot.
