BD_DESIGN'S PROFILE

Just another ex-gaming industry hopeful, going to school and learning as much as I can. I don't think making a game will directly affect my chances of getting a job, but it will teach me the process as well as organization, something I sorely lack. I'm no longer working for Zynga, which is too bad.

What else? I like Japanese food and cinema (but I'm not an otaku), CRPGs (of course), electronic music (90's Industrial FTW), Belgian ales, meat cooked over fire, 420, CGI, 3D animation, cats, SNES, subversive or black comedy, dystopian sci-fi, and any epic fantasy brave enough to step out of the Tolkien shadow.

My dislikes include all forms of bigotry, country music, fast food, factory farms, multinational corporations, warfare, social networking, romantic comedies (in general), and politics.

Oh, and hello again.

Why your name?

I used to go by the name Riva, the name of a talking alien fish character I developed for a live experimental show during my college radio years.

Having grown a bit, I decided to become BD Design in order to be more professional sounding. I use it for the advertising portion of my primary business.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

After getting the boot from Zynga (freedom!), I was finally able to stop playing their craptacular "games" and return to Motion Twin.

I've been playing their zombie apocolypse co-op, Die2Nite, as well as other games through their Twinoid gaming network.

Still farting around in Minecraft, too.

Can't wash the shame away.

My Story

How do you get a lost version of a purchased RPG maker back?

A customer support agent should be able to verify that you purchased the program from their transactions database. They should also have the code on file.

Protip: Always keep hard copies of online purchases and activation codes on file.

Release!

Sweet. Checking it out.

RPGs Through the Generations

I can't believe nobody mentioned NES: Pool of Radiance
