Intelligence: Net-Ready!

Thanks mate!

It is with some grain of shame, that I confess this won't be here much longer.

You'll be able to find it in several other places though.

Honestly, you had me sold at Everton Park. I grew up in Samford, so a Brissie-based game sounds awesome! Subbed and downloading!
Haha, yeah I was right beside it in Stafford, really nice Area, now I'm out in Dakabin, but I still make regular visits to the city, why i went just today, and will go tomorrow as well for Supanova.

Unrelated, But Intelligence, one of my other games, is based in brisbane and you can visit other areas I've lived as well, such as Mallanganee, Casino, Lismore, etc.

The pacific highway is also a thing in that.

In this game when you go to the city, there's a 'burger world'. Lemme tell ya I was so tempted to replace burger world with HUNGREH' JACKIES but I decided that may be a bit too on the nose.

Boned

Lol yeah I already had five and now it's seven, lmao.

But I appreciate the support, regardless! Cheers brah!

Perseverance: Adherence!

You have to jump down on the platform first, try shuffling one space to the right.

There was a thing that told you this but I guess I got rid of it or something.

Menagerie: Remastered!

Small update in relation to Menagerie: Remastered.

The patch to add in what remains of the optional content is sadly going to be delayed, I'm waiting still on the return of two of my artists who are in the midst of doing important work orders, actually, most of their work is done, they just haven't been able to get them to me due to reasons involving computers and internet.

I will not settle for less, so alas this leaves the game in it's current state, that said, there is still so much to see, the games scale is enormous, the projects size isn't at all due to poor optomization, this game is massive, one of the most cripplingly over-ambitious projects I've attempted, yet looking at it now, I can't help but be proud.

Not just two planets, but an entire universe is at your grasp here, a collective slurry of my ideas, past present and future all dwell in small or larger part in this game. The afterlives, the characters I invented growing up in my youth, the worlds I envisioned and the culminated expansion of those ideas has truly taken a form in this game, and that's ALL OPTIONAL CONTENT. Not even to begin on the first four tiers of progression content.

This game while still incomplete, is definitely what the original Menagerie was not, something I can look at and say "I'm proud to have made this!", the music, the art, the direction, it's all been manifest by not only my own creative hand, but 15 other hands all at my employed behest. The characters interact well, the story is simple enough to be understandable, but still complicated enough to provide depth. The charm is there, the epic is there, and while art is never consistent, it still all manages to meld together and form not an artistic direction, but a direction in which no art can follow. Evoking a truly epic spectacle while not going to any effort to preserve artistic coherency. This is nothing new in my games, every project I've created has had contradicting styles, and while it can be hideous at times, it also evokes a unique charm that gives it a sort of unrestrained edge over all competitors.

I hope more of you guys will indulge on giving the game a try. It is truly an experience, one you just won't find anywhere else.

Menagerie: Remastered!

Sure, though it's not a demo anymore. The game is virtually complete, i just wanna add a bit more optional content in at some point.

Menagerie: Remastered!

Oooh! Seems someones already done a lets play.

Download was only available an hour ago, how could have this happened?

Well duh I gave him a press-release, obviously.

Intelligence: Net-Ready!

Big Update! Both to presentation and the game itself.

Little Briar Rose

I can't wait to play this! If it is all in the stained glass style you'll have touched my heart. I've really liked the stained-glass look since watching the opening for Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

I recently finished Chapter 2 of this game and I think it's pretty neat for the most part so far; the boss fights are fun with plenty of interesting mechanics (especially when bosses get lower on health), there's a good number of optional things to do/find, there's a ton of environmental interaction, and progression-based leveling is something I always approve of over grind-based leveling.
I prefer progression leveling as well, mostly because it makes things easy to balance... environmental interaction is always something I've liked, and I took it steps further in this game, such as the cutting down trees and all that along with just interacting objects and the flavor text there of.

This being said, I do think the items which double a stat should either be removed, made into late-game items, or somehow made non-cumulative as it's fairly easy to completely break the game with them, and with the Loion's Swordsmanship in particular as it is easy to make four copies of it once you reach the mines very early in the game. While doubling a stat on its own is a strong, but not game-breaking, boost, the issue comes from when the same 'doubling' item is equipped multiple times for a boost of 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 to make a stat 16x its starting value; on a save I made from right after the mine Fatty can go from 22 Muscle to 352 and can kill just about any boss in 1-2 hits (he dies fast, but a single Yasondre's Boon more than doubles his health while still leaving him at an exceedingly high 176 Muscle). This also means that a single Soy Chicken, which permanently boosts Muscle by 10 effectively grants a 160 point boost to any character with a 4x Loion's Swordsmanship combination.
All these have been noted, I'm working on a remastered version of this game as we speak, which will make alchemy more streamlined and make those double stat items not even a thing. Some abilities are also being adjusted and the way forms work for Fatty is being made more modular. There's a big post on some of this here.

Simply not making it possible to get quite as many Blue Sun Primers and/or Plutonium Ingots early in the game or moving the recipe for the Loion's Swordsmanship item to a later book would both serve as quick-fixes to balance the issue early-game I think.
Sadly it's not that simple, if it were I would have done that. Though also it's a pretty large file and uploading it is a process I have to plan for doing since I have Australian bandwidth. I figure while I'm fixing that I may as well fix balance as a whole, while also addressing some other issues, file size being one of them.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback, I look forward to releasing the Remastered version assumedly sometime this year, here's a bit of what's going on with it.

These cutscenes are subject to change for the final rendition, but it gives you a small glimpse, later I should be able to upload a video with the new balancing.
