I'd go but I literally just heard about this today + I don't know how I'd plan for/ afford travel + tickets are sold out right now. :(
Also, a OneShot feature is pretty surreal tbh

!!!!

The irony is that Oneshot was pretty much DQ'd in IGMC for being an rm2k3 game, but now that the official English version was released and it was remade for that engine, it's getting spotlighted now.
What's also amusing is that the game got next to no attention over at RMW, the official site, but was universally praised here.
Onshot is the featured game

lol

EDIT: I'd like to go to PAX or any games expo sometime, but right now I can't.

If what I hear is true, next to no games get much attention on RMW compared to other sites. I think the fact is that a majority of the RMW memberbase is there for support for their own projects, not so much critiquing/playing others.

The fact that it was is why I suggested it to Degica. It is considered as one of the strong entries but it was created in a 'pirated' engine and just a few months after Rm2k3 was released but eh. At least the new version is great.

Not really. I get more attention there than in RMN and so do other users (Silver Town Game). But it kinda depends really. (Same goes to RMN posting times)
Yeah, you have to be a super-high profile profile person at RMW to garner sustained attention, otherwise your projects get buried under the deluge.

I don't recall Palladinthug or Zevia being super high profile...

As a former RMW frequenter, they are at least a little bit prominent. When I was there, I engaged in chat with them at least a few times.

But I do prefer RMN mostly because of such useful things as gamepages and whatnot. You'll get popular games if you're high profile anywhere. Highly esteemed devs get a lot of attention for their games here just as well as RMW.. And that's a good thing for both communities! Each community should be supportive of their own projects, as well as others. It's just natural. I was extremely proud when Remnants of Isolation won the IGMC. Win for RMN! (And unity, Soz and Red, of course.) And when Free Spirits got Top 10. RMW should feel proud of their projects, too. We've got cute ones boiling up for RMN... Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass, Weird and Unfortunate Things, Prayer of the Faithless, Bossgame to name a few. These are proud gems and I'm happy to support em :) (sorry if I missed your project)
