Somewhat thrown together, but I like it. (Could be better) May not be the final version or only submission, depending on feedback. I already output it as OGG, out of habit and so it should loop.

@Bulmabriefs, Why not go back to your pieces, pick out a few note groupings, and then attempt to build on those, or whistle a tune and try to find it on the keyboard? It'll help give the music structure.

author=bulmabriefs144Pick up Synthfont and give it a spin- it lets you use soundfonts to render your output from Midi so yo can make MP3 etc and use instruments not necessarily in your midi box. Right now I've been experimenting with both Anvil and the Tu2 synth. Argh.
I have Anvil Studio, so it's gonna be midi okay?
Also, I have no musical training, so it's gonna suck okay?

Though I've only played a bit of survival horror- the Longing Ribbon, a bit of Dino Crisis and Martian Gothic Reunification- some House of the dead whihc is really a shooter-the sense I got was that of living on a knife's edge. Things were drastic, resources were scarce, and if you made a wrong move you were fucked. It was terribly unforgiving, as you'd expect.author=BurningTygerLike I say in the review, the difficulty of the battles themselves isn't the problem. The battles - when taken individually - are very well balanced. There is only so much damage that battles can deal out before they become too difficult and therefore problematic themselves.
*Skims* i guess i should play this once you fix things. . anyway, re: items one idea is making certain the late-game damage from high-level enemies stays high enough that you have to burn through whatever stash you have just to keep your head above water. If the foes are brutal enough extra items will only stave off destruction by a few minutes more... because the idea of survival-horror is struggling to stay alive.
The problem isn't in-battle. The problem is a range of out-of-battle factors that come together to make healing between battles far too easy, negating a lot of the systems that are set-up to make picking your battles an important feature of the game.

MEssing wiht sonds and stuff in Tu2 and trying to get the hang of LMMS. i have something that sounds like sneaking through a hallway for now. just picked up "Samples of Tenelach" and listened to a bit of Battlefield 4 tunes.
