I f anyone wants i cna make a list fo free-to-use- soundfonts .
Yeah, it would be great to get some recommendations on Soundfonts or VSTs which could fit to this challenge.

I think I have something in mind already. I'll probably focus mostly on percussion. But before I start I'll probably listen to some pieces from sci-fi shooters to get some inspiration.
What other tracks would you suggest for inspiration? Wo Decides to clean his room form top to bottom so he can borrow his dad's midi keyboard* Also I have some samples/sounds i made way back for something I think I wil offer for use...

because there's no rejection in this house.
is that a challenge

Snarkiness aside, I'm going to mix my Chapter 1 submission to be a bit louder (and upgrade a few sample libraries—no arrangement changes), and then get to work on Chapter 2.
Would you consider teaming up somehow? BTW, the Junk Kit might be useful here >I f anyone wants i cna make a list fo free-to-use- soundfonts . I may just use lmms or Tu2 for this however.

Summoner of Sounds

Woke up with another track in my head but no time to do it. Guess I'll save it for when we do battle tracks; those can be light-hearted or jazzy too! (For example under the right circumstances Leibedik un Freilach could well work as a battle theme!)

What are you thinking about right now?

I have a tune in my head but i9 cna't score it. dammit

Summoner of Sounds

I have good tunes but don't know how to put them on the page... it's a struggle. But here's something. I think it sounds kind of like little fairies...
Elf Steps.
(Also Mp3 version available.)

Summoner of Sounds

I was really stuck since I had trouble turning my tunes into notation, but was suddenly inspired- what's more light-hearted than a sudden musical number? If you don't mind I'll submit a vocal track, and may do the same for other sections as well; after all, every tale needs a bard to tell it. *Begins whipping up lyrics*

Summoner of Sounds

augh need to fish a track.

Summoner of Sounds

*Wishes for the umpteenth time he had a midi keyboard, as getting the right time signature and rhythm by ear is difficult....*

I believe you're correct on the first, but as was already pointed out to me it wouldn't make sense to sell tracks made for this as they'll be available in the free pack.
Pretty much this!

Also, Summoner of Sounds entries will not be used for the actual RMN Music Pack 2. RMN Music Pack 2 will run as a separate event. There may still be some sort of collection release of the Summoner of Sounds entries, though.
It wasn't quite clear at the beginning; considering the work everyone seems to be putting into things, however, it's only fair that Summoner of Sounds gets its own release.... perhaps like this:

Cover: Orange notes, rounded as if blown of glass, flow from a Bard's flute while a "Red Mage" uses a baton to direct and shepherd them and notes of various other colors- green, blue, pink- into shaped groups; on the far left red notes have coalesced into a sword shape, while at far right a nearly-complete heart shape waits for approaching pink notes.

Back: Somewhere between dream and imagination lies the world of Musica, where sound comes to life. Join us on a musical journey through this land: flit across the Mirthful Meadows, wallow in the Depths of Despair, and scale the Climax Peaks. Wherever you go, you'll find tracks brimming with life and eager to be used in your games!

(Each overarching theme thus becomes a "place" or "region" on a map; EG Lighthearted tracks hail from The Mirthful Meadows.)

As for entries, I've been rather preoccupied, but still hope to get in an entry for this stage before the deadline. *Crosses fingers*

Summoner of Sounds

Argh still gotta whip up something. I've been mulling over a Klezmer-inspired battle track, but I've got to get it done...
