Any dev questions for Kan Gao (“To the Moon”) and Merlandese (“Last Word”) you’d like to ask them for a podcast episode of RPG Maker Cola?

Hey all! I’m hosting Season 2 of a podcast named RPG Maker Cola - and we have recently confirmed an episode with the incredible Kan Gao (“To the Moon”, “A Bird Story”, “Finding Paradise”) and the amazing Merlandese (“Last Word”, “Fleuret Blanc”, “Lure”)!

There’s a section where the community ask questions - if anybody has anything they’d like to ask them for some detailed answers, please do! Thanks all!
Whoa that's quite the exeposé! For Kan Gao, I would like to know how the upcoming anime film came about? If he's under a strict NDA, no worries.

I'd almost want to bring up Ghost Shards - Stonesinger, though, I'm not sure what, exactly to ask/say here. Like, that was an older game that doesn't seem to be on here anymore, but, Merlandese did some nifty tracks for it. Pretty sure this was before Last Word, and that IGMC in general, but I'm not 100% sure.
I've played Fleuret Blanc and Last Word and I'm a big fan of Merlandese. I'm really interested in how Merlandese constructs a mystery! Do you start with a theme, the characters, plot beats? Where do you get your inspiration?

Also, if I haven't asked too many questions already, what do you consider when trying to tie narrative and gameplay together? Are there places you feel that you could improve with the systems you have in FB and LW?

Don’t worry! Thank you for all the questions. Moar questions, moar! The more the merrier :)
Any advice for those starting out?

(Probably save this question for the last question, so you can wrap it up nicely - I'd ask more but my head is killing me at the moment. But yeah, the Creator of To The Moon is kind of huge, congrats on getting these Cash!)

I'm also a big fan of Merlandese, but I don't have any real questions. Maybe ask him about his hobbies?

Also, A controversial one: Do you think that while To the Moon is more popular,Last Word is a overall better game?

I will be completely transparent with you and let you know I'm not going to include this question in the questions list because I would rather not compare the games of the two guests in that way, however, if you have another question, feel free to ask more!
To both:

How important is the multi-platform release for your games? How do you achieve it?

If might be interesting to know what Merlandese thinks about To the Moon, and/or what Kan Gao thinks about Last Word. Just, like, have they played them, for one. Leave it up to the guests to share their experience?

True! How would you phrase this in a question? ;)
Edit: Should I say you ask "I'm interested to know - if you have played them, what do you each think of each others' games? e.g. Merlandese - what do you think of "To the Moon", and Kan - what do you think of "Last Word"?

I mean, I'm no expert at interviewing. Like, if the games are there at the introduction of your guests, the question can stem from that. Such as...

In today's episode, we have Merlandese, the maker of Fleuret Blanc, and Last Word, and Kan Gao, the maker of To The Moon! The elephant is in the room, so to speak, so, let's talk a bit about those games. Have either of you played each other's game?

...this? Is that too direct?

Okay I didn't realise how difficult it can be to formulate questions, I'll do that for you. Thanks for trying, Marrend, I'll phrase it for you, no worries! :)

Thanks Cat !

I spent quite some effort to give my games their 2-platform builds (Win + Linux) and I'm wondering how important it is for expert devs.

Hey Irog!

We just recorded the podcast and sorry that we weren't able to get around to this question because there were so many questions T_T We ended up having a 3hrs+ recording even with not all of the questions asked.

Hope you understand!
