Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy Review

Honestly, it's pretty good for a FF game. This thing also took him like 10 years to complete *I was like 12 or something when he started it. I'm 25 now*. He was supposedly remaking it in MV. Dunno what happened with that. To me, some things need to be cut down like the random quests that kinda slip the main story away. They should be kept as side-quests, but I understand trying to make the game as long as possible. It's a good review, but some points were just off.

From this whole thing, this is what I'm thinking of doing:

1. Keeping random encounters. It's a classic based FF game. It's not a flaw to have random encounters. That's personal opinion. Now, making random encounters more interesting is something I have to think up on. Of course I don't want anyone running into 10 battles in 3 minutes. I could lower the encounter rate (does that mean less? Ims...) There are many things I can do. My next game, called Legacy or Legends... I haven't decided on the name, will not use random encounters. Hopefully that proves I am pro random encounters. I'm mutual.

2. Escape. Maybe escape can use some twinking, yes. It's kind of pointless to have all 4 of your characters to use escape and none succeed... and that HAS happen to me. Maybe if we could make the success 80%? Or max 85.

3. Grammar/writing. This isn't mentioned in this conversation except probably the review maybe... but I need to get a writer lol.

4. I only will listen to criticism that I think is alright and not just opinion.
e.g. : I hate random encounters! Such an old system! Yadda yadda.

This is probably some type of criticism I will take.
e.g. : Random encounter rate is very high in some places. I would suggest lowing the rate of encounters so that we don't get into 10 battles in 5 minutes.

Alright.

I'll keep stuff like random encounters and such, just how I would use them would probably be different. Like a limited random encounter thing or something. It would sort of halt grinding though...

The only 3 who are still in this team at the moment is you and I haha...

I have to agree. If FF2 had a better battle system, it would definitely be my favorite from the NES generation of FF games. But I can't get into it because of the battle system.

Well not just bad people. The Essence world is kind of similar to heaven. And if a spirit escapes, whether it be good or bad, turns to crystal. The crystal in Essence now is indeed a spirit. All crystals can radiate magic, too, since the Essence World is very magical.

Final Fantasy Essence Review

All FFs except for 2 and 8 involve crystals. If a game does not involve crystals, why call it FF at all? What makes the crystal in Essence so different is that its an evil crystal. The demo doesn't explain that. There is this other world called "The Essence" or so the humans say. If a spirit escapes that world, it is frozen into a crystal.

Atoa, this is my project and I can do what I want with it. If I want to do things I disagree on too, then I'll change it. Months ago Lex and I discussed a way to shorten random encounters random encounters and take out escape. This is before ANYONE complained about it. I'm sick and tired of not being treated like the main lead of this project. You tell me not to listen to people but you expect me to listen to you. Things are going to be different once Christmas Break comes around. I may not have a computer to work on Essence right now, but I am still in control. I was in control when I didn't have internet and Lex worked on it. If you want to be the lead, I'll be glad to give it to you. I can't work on it for at least half a year, and Lex is too busy with university. And we don't have a music composer anymore to work on it. You're the last one who can work on it. I'm sorry if I sound harsh but everyone and their mother is telling me to put my foot down with my team members, and I think I should. These concerns people are giving out are actual concerns, not "Change the way the character does this" type of concerns. I don't want my game always having one stars or 2 stars. It's not what I want. But if I keep doing things under your rule, then it will never do great like how I want it. I know I shouldn't do what EVERYONE says, but if people are having problems with escape or the random encounters, I want to fix that for my players.

Sorry again for coming out as harsh. I do love you and all still =)

I think I'm just gonna take out escape and add reset in like FF13. Or something. Idk.
