How many potions do you really need?

Limit the amount of potions you can carry and force the player to put back any extras if they are carrying the maximum limit. Hoarders will actually use the potions instead of letting them rot. Completionists will use the items just to get the chest opened. And normal players will be unaffected because they already won't have a max inventory.

I need feedback on an idea...

author=Anonymous_Mclove
The game is actually inspired by Earthbound(In fact, this idea was originally going to be an Earthbound fangame, but I decided to make it more original, just in case Nintendo decided shove a C&D down my throat, as one guy warned me),

You have a better chance of getting stuck by lightning in your living room than you do of getting a C&D from Nintendo about an Earthbound fan game. Now if this were a fan remake or something you might have something to worry about.

I'm totally okay with them being static if they're not next to animated girls in the game.

The thing is that's kind of how I have it set up.

Basically the current speaker's portrait animates while the other character's portrait is darkened and stays static.

Imo, it's better to let the kid chews and leave the girl as it is. :)

I like the chewing animation idea. But I messed around with pigtails and decided I'd have her eyebrows move a bit instead.

I appreiate all the feedback and compliments.

There is more to body language than facial gestures. why not make the blonde girl fidget a bit and the girl in blue to wobble a bit like being gently pushed by a breeze?

It's not that I don't want to focus on animating other features besides the face it's just i feel like if one portrait gets an animated body movement It makes the rest of them look stiff and lifeless. I'm trying to keep everything uniform, but I'll give it a shot and see if I can make it work.

Gorgeous portraits btw if you have a gamepage please direct me to it so i can subscribe thank you.

So in my game I have portraits with a 4 frame blink animation like so:

The problem is just recently I've been working on NPC portraits but I made a few that don't have normal/visible eyes and I kinda realized that they would look out of place without animation.

Is there any way I could animate parts of thier faces to match a blinking animation or should I just leave them as static portaits.

I'm just curious since I've only been here for about 8 months. Has anything like this ever happened before? I mean someone flipping out over being banned and declaring war on RM.

[RM2K3] How to edit an RPG Maker 2003 game

You can't open project files from one on the other, so look out.
I don't know which engine was OFF made from, but yeah.

Mirak you're way off, you can open and do a one way conversion a Tsukuru project to the 2003. And even then you can copy and paste events and event code between the two.

I'm almost certain OFF is encrypted and even then I believe it's a foreign game and may actually be made with the legal version of Tsukuru.

Also that "in-between" diagonal wall looks weird, i would just have the 45 degree diagonal go all the way like how Earthbound does it.

This angle has it's problems but it makes rooms look more dynamic in my opinion.
:)

I don't think it's cluttered... but I'm a little bothered by the perspective shift/line-angle at the back of the room.

I figured that angle would bother people. I already had the 45 corner ready just in case, Its just that like Dookie mentioned wanted to the rooms to look a bit more dynamic.

I'm going to round the corners instead and see if that works out better.

Trying my hand at making maps. I'm no sure if it looks to cluttered.
