Nostradamus predicted the world would end in the year 1999. Over ten years have passed. Mankind thinks it has survived and now eagerly looks forward to the most recent, more popular reports of cataclysm. Little do they know Nostradamus was right.

In 1999 the intangible link bonding the human spirit to the 'aether' - a universal repository of concepts integral to the cosmos - was severed. Since then mankind's ability to channel and create beauty has diminished. The rapid decline of art, writing, and music is the work of an unknown and dark force wandering the ethereal planes of the universe. It has only been defined as 'Entity VX', but naming it is a futile endeavor as it cannot be hindered or stopped.

Soon what remains of divine inspiration in the heart of man will be completely expended, resulting in an event that can only be called 'The Artpocalypse". The death of painting, the death of composition, the death of architecture, the death of games. And finally, this Hallow's Night as we wither in our mortal shells no longer sustained by the immortality that art bestows; our final, silent demise.
