The Haunted World: Hell'...
Do you believe in ghosts? You sure should! The (un)dead are just a dimension away - and when you see them you will be shocked to death. No pun intended.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

@suzy_cheesedreams: That tree looks very nice! It reminds me of a very old RPG, but I can't remember which one exactly...

I've been working on portraits for a very short game idea. I'm still unsure how to shade his hair, but I'm proud of the pocky stick in his mouth. This guy's name is Ivory and he is supposed to travel with an elephant shrew named Ebony.

Has the full version been released yet? If not, does anybody know a release date or even an estimated release date? I really loved the demo so I look forward to the full game c:

The game is currently on a hiatus, due to a friend of mine having cancer. Said friend only learned about it a few months ago - the project is on hold ever since. As soon as he gets better I will start working on it again, though. It's just too much to work on a game about cancer when cancer itself is present in your very own circle of friends.

I just...I know what happens when I give in to the temptation to fool around. Side project gradually grows to eclipse main project, main project falls into indefinite hiatus, and the cycle repeats.

Ohhh I know that pain, although my main project is on hold for another reason. Still, side projects are too precious but deadly dangerous. And this one just made me draw the portrait of the main character - it certainly doesn't help me to get away from the temptation.

Stronglytempted to dabble with some side project(s). Struggling against it but it feels like an unwinnable uphill struggle.

It's not even that I'm despairing of the possibility of Lionheart finding an audience--for once I'm actually not--my brain is just crying out with longing for something new and different to chew on.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. There is that very persistent side-project idea in my head that just needs to get out. It would be rather easy to make, too, which only makes things worse. ._.

Long time no see!

Oh, I see. Are you in college? ^^, because I am in college, too. I understand your situation. Please take your time. We'll be all here supporting you... ^^, *high five* Take care now and GREAT LUCK! YOU CAN DO IT!

Ah, no. I'm in twelfth grade. I live in Germany, our school system is quite different from other countries. I will finish my Abitur next year, which could basically be described as a ton of exams that have a great influence on your overall end-score. It's really stressful to get there, but since I want to become a game designer it's worth it. You need to have some kind of Abitur to go to university, after all. :)

Great, now... any tentative dates for the release? I'm guessing that'll be in late 2015? How many chapters does the game have? Good luck! We're looking forward to this! HI-5!

Since I'm in my last year of school it will probably be around summer. Exams are stressful and I want to get good grades.

The game will have seven chapters in total, but they won't be released in one big update. I will release the game in chapters - next update will be chapter 1, then chapter 2 and so on. I think I can release two to three chapters per year.

Thank you! *high five*

I suggest that you should post an update maybe once in a while(?) :)

Ahh, I was under a lot of stress during the last few months and had to make some decisions. The biggest change (that I will announce properly in the next few days) would be that I will re-make the whole game in RPG Maker VX Ace, as this will make a lot of things easier for me. This project isn't dead, though! =)

The Screenshot Topic Returns

@SnowOwl: That could be it! I think I will erase the outlines, just to see what it looks like, and then make a decision. =)

The Screenshot Topic Returns

@LockeZ and BurningTyger: I don't want to get rid of every single outline, since the objects would fade into the background too much, but I could easily use the 'just objects that you can interact with and characters have outlines' approach. I'll keep the shadows of the trees in mind, too! Thank you two for the idea~

Man, it must have been forever since I last visited this thread...

So, here's a little something I'm working on - first time ever trying to create a side-scrolling game. Still a huge WIP, but everything is self-made, so that's something, I guess.
