Was thinking about this, and how it could be the motivation that makes RMW's screenshot topic almost impossible to follow at times.
And it sucks when there are people who give a lot of feedback on the site, and have very little makerscore.
author=kentona Can you explain how it works in detail?
Anyone can click a 'like' button on any particular post, and it notifies the user while affecting makerscore if possible. Any user can toggle the notices in the subscriptions menu, if they don't want to see a lot of spam notices.
This'd certainly see people who only do reviews/media get the makerscore they deserve too. Like if a review is better than others, they won't get awarded the same amount.
Or perhaps a multiplier effect after a certain amount of Likes are reached? Say, 100 Likes = x1.2 effect and so forth. (This way they can't just get their friends to like for them, more people is a better grading curve~) I do 'like' the idea for things like images, reviews and actual content, though. Not so much for forum posts.
