Paid - Isometric buildings for facebook game

Hi guys

Well this is not a request for me particularlly, but for the company I´ve been working for latelly, Domisuto LLC.
The project is an already released Facebook game called TinyTown.

We're looking for artists with excellent design sense, can produce all 4 sides of a building using a template as a guideline, and are interested in building a new kind of city game show casing tiny people, traffic, and giants moving about.

In the latest.jpg, we have samples of photo references, an iso template and the final product. For reference, we paid ~$114 US for the neo mediterranean for 4 unique sides without mirroring. The victorian was ~$109 for 4 unique sides. Prices and rates are negotiable. We are a new company, but we are financially stable and have a record of payment.

Back again... :D

Yeah, been absent due to tons of work and a lot happening in my life, which put my projects on a VERY slow pace and got me out of time.

Anyway, for those who don´t know me (probably a lot of new ppl joined since I vanished): I am Clest, I am from Brasil, am 28 years old and soon to be married.

I work professionally as pixel artist and designer, I love science fiction and fantasy and hardly like stuff which don´t fit in either (unless it is comedy).

And yeah, I am a crazy mecha addict.

Graphic proportions in games

We have been discussing standards or breaking then and I always like to bring this topic: Enemies and heroes should have compatible proportions, if not, hide the heroes with front view battle system.

This is my only issue with one of my top 3 commercial RPGs, FF6 and it drives me mad when my characters riding Magitek armors are smaller than Narshee´s silly bunch of guards, however empire soldiers riding Mtek armors look like giants of still who could kill you by accident.

It also makes it difficult to imagine the battle (which I like to do) beyound the graphics... how am I supposed to know if that car sized sewer rat is actually a mutated giant rat or just a normal rat drawn too big because there is no proportion sense?

No matter how much I prefer to have side view battles with heroes and even enemies animated, I will absolutely prefer a front view battle system than a side view with misproportion.

Misproportion (and misfitting graphical styles) not just look fucking UGLY but it also breaks completely the feel of the system for me.

I don´t mind if enemies are static map sprites, better than static awesome Amano artworks which doesn´t fit with SD map sprite heroes in any possible way.

So what is your take on that? Any reasons to defend misproportion?

Submission page logs me off...

Well I uploaded (or I tried to) some resources of my own and then went to check submission page for my profile, at first it used to give me an error like "Hey, an error occurred, chances are we know about this already!" but after a while it started to just log me off and send me to the main page of RMN...

So any idea about this problem?

VX scripter needed, I offer art and sprites in exchange

Well essentially it is as the tittle says.

I don´t feel like scripting, tried and it is not too hard, just not my thing, so I am willing to do art/sprites for someone who can help me with some VX moddings.

Also no, it is not like "hey I want you to be part of my team LOLZ!", nops, I just ask for those scripts, offer to my art/sprites in exchange and if I need some other script I will make a new topic. So I won´t be bugging you every time I need something extra.

Two notes about my request though:
-I will make it standard for my projects and would want to use then in commercial projects in the future. You will be credited in any project I use it though.
-It would be nice to leave this as an open script for anyone else who find an use for it. I could even make other Hud graphics or something.

Now what do I want? well first I want a revamp of RMVX battle system so here goes a mock up of the system:

Details:
Battlers
-The 4 guys in the right are the battlers, and the 2 on the left are the enemies (just to clarify)
-The battlers should be static pictures and should be positioned more or less like in the mock up
-Battlers should be positioned by their base (vertically the bottom-most pixels) and by their center (horizontally by the center). This is so I can use any size for battlers.
-Skill animations shall appear over the battlers just like they do from enemies
-I´d like to just have to name the files "battlerAlex" (Alex example of hero name) and save then in any of the folders for it to work, if possible, rather than edit script entries per character.

HUD
-The outer frame may be changed, but it should be there and appear abone all battle animations and bellow the HUD layer
-Each character HUD shall be more or less in the same position as in the mock up
-The frame around the first hud is the character selection turn cursor indicating who are you chosing commands for.
-IT is the HP, it should show the numbers in front of the IT sign, preferably in plain white, IT bar is the one above it and should becrease from right to left as IT lowers
-EN should be same as IT, just referring to MP and that the bar is the one bellow
-I´d also like to just name the HUD character files as "hudAlex" (Alex being hero name example).

Commands
-I´d like the attack/Fight command to be erased and just stay with Skill, Guard and Iten
-If possible, bellow guard, add an "Evade" command which just passes the turn but doubles the character evasion rate for that turn

Background
-I´d like to be able to have a background image rather than the odd wirl from VX.
-I´d like a way to change the battle background via events, like those short script lines which you can add to events.

Hi all, some ppl here might know me from other places but to those who don´t: I am Clest (at least that is how I am known anywhere :P), I am from Brasil (so forget my english mispellings XD) I am 27 years old (call me old and you will know hell first hand >.>) and about my interests...

I love fictional machines, be it ships, vehicles, mechs, mechanical armors, technological weapons... I just love then, though I also love fantasy and love the mix of sci-fi and fantasy the most, be it in games, novels, anime or movies.

Related to game making, I am a spriter and artist, but I also can write and handle RM by events (no scripting for me... it is boring as hell...). I got a major project named Star Light Romance which has been on the shades for 3 years.
