Berets own.
Top hat's the top hat.
But the fedora's a close second.

I do love the fedora and the newsboy cap.

I have two of these. Both leather, one gray, one brown.
I got a faux fur hat with the side flaps and I love it and it goes with my beard :3

I also have a First Mate toque and it's pretty cool too

From my own collection, this is my favourite:

Beanies or caps? What is it that was tripping up the Canadians? I like those.

I also like a good baseball/trucker hat for hot days.

Fedoras are OK, but they're more formal than they're being used for these days, and like 90% of people trying to wear them don't really have the poise to pull the look off.

Much like Church Lady Hats, you really need to be in a milieu where it's normal-looking, otherwise it just ends up being goofy and ostentatious. You may as well wear one of those dumb cat-in-the-hat style novelty hats that were popular in the 90s and 00s.

ETA: Cowboy hats are p. good. They look pretty alright on everybody.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Then by your own admission they're not considered formal wear in modern styles. You just wish they were.

On men, I like fedoras, and bowler hats are a close second. I think baseball caps are perhaps the only hat that's always worse than not wearing a hat, on everybody, for every fashion style.

On women, I like those big giant floppy sun dress hats. I have no idea what they're called. Google isn't being helpful. Maybe they're actually just called sun dress hats. I also like tiny top hats that strap onto your head.
@LockeZ I agree with all the things you like, but gals in fedoras (and/or full suits) are also pretty legit.

Uh, no, anyone who knows any goddamn thing about wearing clothes knows what milieu they belong in. Which is why you do not see them a lot outside of the subculture that thinks a vest, wolf shirt, shorts, and sandals is a fashionable combo, or people who wear suits.
I like fedoras. Not the weird small-brimmed bullshit kind. Gimme a broad-brimmed fedora. Also, Akubra's.

That said, I don't wear hats, even if in Australia it's something you should do to protect yourself from the sun. IDK, I hate the feeling of something on my head.

This is an Acubra.

Okay so checking some more, apparently I like the same hat - it just has different names and looks a little different. WELP
australia has to name everything weirdly

Also, toque with pom pom

Isn't "toque" the proper name for those chef hats??
we call those "chef hats"
"Toques were popular from the 13th to the 16th century in Europe, especially France. The mode was revived in the 1930s. Now it is primarily known as the traditional headgear for professional cooks, except in Canada where the term is primarily used for knit caps."
