DARK GAIA'S PROFILE

I develop games and I write. I have a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and journalism. I like writing speculative fiction, horror and literary fiction, sometimes all blended together. You can find elements of my writing in my games, because I consider my games to be stories just that happen to have gameplay.

I post updates on my Facebook and Twitter:

Gender affects which of the two NPC romances is available to the player. Other than that, it's merely a cosmetic choice. I'm all for gender equality.

HoLGrudgeHolder.png

Yes, you can choose Locke's gender and class. I was also planning for the player to be able to choose Locke's race as well, but there wasn't any time to implement that.

I like the front-view style as well. I really wanted to go with this style for Legionwood 2 but I couldn't at the time.

No, of course not. I'm using a lot of placeholder graphics out of the RTP and other generic stuff until my commissioned stuff is ready.

I'm intending for there to be a lighting effect in this area, but not this one obviously (which isn't available for commercial use anyway iirc).

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll have to put a tree or something there :)

You only need to buy them once, but as you only get 1 AP per level, it would take 21 levels for one character to buy them all, and they wouldn't have any Techs so they'd be woefully underpowered in battle.

HoLTalents.png

Basically, whenever a character levels up, they earn 1 AP. You can then spend the AP you've earned on new Techs or Talents for the character. As you can see, all of the Talents cost 3 AP, so you can only afford them every three levels.

The goal with this system is to try and spend your AP wisely and balance between buying new Techs and learning Talents. Talents are expensive because they give you a significant advantage which Techs do not.

You also start off with 3 AP, which is why Locke has them in that screenshot despite only being at level 1.

Yes, you are, as long as you own the engine it came with (you can only use the XP RTP if you own XP and so on).

This isn't actually the RTP anyway.

HLWDialogue.png

I actually haven't decided yet. You could do it in Legionwood 2, so I suppose there's a reasonable chance.

HLWDialogue.png

Yes. If you've ever played Alpha Protocol, it works the same way. You don't get to choose exactly what your character says - you choose his attitude, which determines what happens next in the conversation.

Sometimes you'll get a unique option based on your class, which usually unlocks benefits you wouldn't have obtained through the normal dialogue options.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that certain NPCs and companions will treat you differently depending on your responses. For example, Gaius likes Serious responses and dislikes Snide ones.
