Final Fantasy Discovery

i like how he got banned for an FF related thing.

Railroad Tracks

Got stuck here, don't think this room is supposed to exist?:

So far the environments are pretty cool but I'm disliking that (as far as I know) I have to watch the first memory every time to return to the railroad tacks. It's also still a little easy to get lost even with the walk-through sometimes, it's becoming part of the game itself. Will have further thoughts later probably.

Dolorific: A House

Played this yesterday to get more 2018 game exposure before the year ends. I liked it for what it is, kind of a neat little trip. The window change was pretty neat though it doesn't affect the gameplay that much it did give a very interesting "feel" to the general alternate world mechanic the game had going on. Claustrophobic is what I would describe it as. I didn't really "get" the story but at the same time I didn't really make an effort to, I just kind of went with the flow. Overall solid game made in a month.

Kryopolis

Thanks for the kind words everyone and LordBlueRouge for the mini-review. But yeah this game was pretty much an experiement/vertical slice of some sort. I spent way too much time making the melee combat (to not much effect) and had actual time to do a boss sequence but then the game's actual length got pretty bare near the end of the content deadline.

I'll keep a lot of the points in mind especially when compared to Nemoral as I'll probably make more games similar to this. This game is really just part of a greater format I've been mulling over for the past year.

Nemoral

@Cap: Yeah there's no boss fight, there was going to be, but time had to be cut short so there's a bit of an anti climax there.

Game freezes after I kill the boss. :(
On the A game by Shweep

Congrats you've beaten the game! I didn't really add a way to return to menu if that's what you mean by freezing.

I really dig how it emulates a look of an rm game, while being more sleek than any true 2k creation.
Frankly, that got me curious about the gameplay.

:O whoa thanks, yeah I'm trying to avoid a lot of the pitfalls of rm2k while still trying to emulate what i like about rm software. Idk some people who defect to other engines tend to make completely different games (including myself).

The main issue a lot of horror games face is these awkward encounters where an enemy goes "Event Toward Player" I think I managed to avoid partially that problem? But I'm really curious to what aspects are solved based on feedback from people who are really used to RM games.

and thanks to everyone interested!
