They should still be encouraged, but the fact that the ratings in the reviews are averaged into one rating seen by every person who clicks on the game can inspire people to write a nasty review simply to lower the game's score for spiteful reasons, as seen here.

I'm pretty sure that's because The Way brings up a mystery every single second. You pretty much need to go to the forums to even understand the ending. I liked The Way for some of it's characters, but the overall story just seems needlessly complicated to the point where you need a team of analysts to understand what the fuck is going on.
