to elaborate, basically it's when I need to EDIT pdfs which happens rarely enough that I don't have a permanent solution, yet important enough that it involves something government / course related. If I just want to offhandedly download a program via google search, every program expects payment if you want to edit, and sometimes don't even make that clear or are just shitty.

Found a solution though. But it's still annoying.

As a medical biller, pdfs are a fucking godsend compared to the stacks of paper claims and EOBs that mgmt conveniently loses all the time

I suggest getting a program other than the default for using with them. There's some decent ones out there. I like Foxit Reader, personally.
