Robot Masters

A trick to beating Spark Man is knowing where to keep the battle; by that I mean, keep yourself on the middle platform and on the top right platform. If you linger there as he's hopping around, you'll notice most of his attacks far easier to dodge. The fact there is a hitbox blind spot on the far right of the middle platform makes this even simpler.

If I had to choose a Robot Master that is completely dickish, that'd be Tornado Man. If the RNG isn't nice to you and he starts using his cloud attack more often, then he becomes a pain. Its doable though if you ride one platform up halfway, shoot him when you're level with him, slide off to the center, keep walking to the far opposite wall as the platforms fall back down and take the other platform back up and repeat as long as he does clouds, you 'should' be okay.

Robot Masters

He's there for bragging rights, nothing more. That and he is the final key to 100% completion so you get the Boss Rush password. As for the cameo appearance, there are 5 more in the game, each one depicting a Mega Man from a different accompanying franchise.

Robot Masters

There is Mega Man 2 representation...just not where you think it would be... ;)

Installation

Trying turning on VSync in that situation. See if that works.

Progress

Absolutely none. If you've kept up on my other works in progress, you'll have noticed that the past year I've been focusing on Megaman: Revenge of the Fallen. I have made a concerted effort to try and finish that game and push it out the door THIS year. So all other projects are on standby until that game is finished. Once that is done, rest assured, I'll come back to AOF, the hiatus will come off and the new goal will be to push this RPG out sometime late 2014. Sound good?

Nice! Very comprehensive. Didn't think you'd give away the hidden boss so easily though.

Well, he's just one of two. And I haven't even mentioned the other one...

Progress

Well AWESOME posts like yours do give me the incentive to carry on when I sometimes get the urge to just quit and scrap it all. So thank you for that. I'll keep you in mind.

Progress

Yeah...making sneaky updates to be sure...but progress is so slow, I can't really say I'm actually in 'full production' on it. So it is leaning more towards hiatus than 'in production.'
However, you are right, I don't have 'that' much more work left to do on mapping, maybe 35-50 more maps total of varying sizes and I should be done! I'm already close to 400 maps and it'll be around 450+ by the time the entire world is finished. So that's a lot of exploring for you to do!
My goal....(and its only a goal) is to have all major mapping done by Christmas and we can have some 'alpha' testing. There are no takers yet, but positions are open. The only real testing would be just exploring the maps, trying to get places you can't, seeing if you can get stuck in places, etc. There won't be any quests, no real NPCs to speak of, just mindless wandering and checking the maps. Thus 'alpha' testing rather than beta testing.

Systems

Oh, I hated that in Oblivion too! Don't get me wrong. But mine are eventually level capped. Its just that, after a certain amount of time leveling, the majority of the areas (esp. since you have FREE ROAMING) become pitifully easy. So I needed a few leveling stints to keep things challenging. They only level up twice. After they hit lvl 3, you can level up and overpower them eventually. I believe the level cap to easily beat most monsters in the game at level 3 ranges around 60-70, anything past that and its quite simple. The only exception are the optional post-game areas which require levels upwards towards the 90s and you to have pumped your characters full of stat tabs to boost their stats beyond normal limits. With enemies in post-game areas plopping themselves down to the tune of 54,000 hp for a common enemy, you're going to need to step up your game.

The post says you last edited this on 03/10/2012 but there doesn't seem to be any real changes to your overall post BareGamer. Did you change anything?
