Commas actually remind me of that time I accidentally said condom to a girl I liked instead of comma and she just stared agape at me. Then, I said condom again to emphasize. When I realized what I said, I was so very red. To this day she still calls me tomato.

Commas are tricky little buggers. You want to use them to simulate natural pauses in speech, but to do so is often incorrect as I've been told time and again by my English professors.
