Here's mine. Changes every week, but I'm on a Within Temptation kick right now...

Let's Play Hero's Realm!

After sampling this wonderful retro-RPG, I decided to make an LP out of it! This LP will be a blind playthrough, so it should be a lot of fun!

HR was recommended to me by EnderX, while we were discussing the progress of my Carlsev Saga LP. He enjoyed it and thought it would make a fine choice for a blind LP, and so far I agree.

The LP will encompass a single casual playthrough of the game, though I'll try to hit as many sidequests as possible. I heard HR is about 15 hours long, so expect at least 100 videos over the next month or so. I'll try to capture everything...unless I have to backtrack to the Church to revive a character. If I die ten times against a tough boss, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it :) Nevertheless, when it comes to dying constantly, I'm not as over-the-top as ProtonJon.

I'd love to LP more games in the future, especially once my commentary skills improve.

(Yes, I have a New England/Rhode Island accent...sorry.)

Most underrated and overrated RPGs

I'd have to group the entire Tales series as the most overrated. I've just never been able to finish a Tales game, mainly because it was either too predictable or unbalanced. I love the battle systems, but Star Ocean pulls off the same style just as well and with a more interesting setting to boot.

I'd say the most underrated RPG(s) is the Xenosaga trilogy. Although the battles are slow-paced, I never managed to get bored. The story is very interesting, and the music is top-notch. Voice acting is quite inconsistent and the overall length is lacking, but I just adore the brisk pacing and dramatic overtones.

Hi there

Hi there. I'm Deckiller -- if you'd like some personal information, feel free to check out my profile.

I'll be posting my first game, Carlsev Saga, pretty soon. I'll eventually post the first demo of my second game (Carlsev Saga II - surprise!).

I'll probably stay active by commenting on games and posting updates for my own. I love giving -and- receiving feedback -- as long as it's legitimate, constructive, and civilized. Heck, I love talking to people about ways to improve my games (and vice versa), which stems from my experience with the criticism-heavy environment on Wikipedia. I just think it needs to be worded appropriately: saying "your game sucks" or "your storyline is weak" is inappropriate, but saying "your storyline would benefit from greater unpredictability and less of a good versus evil theme" is a great way to start.

I'm still working with the older makers (2000 and 2003), mainly because I understand them the most; I'll probably move to VX after I finish the Carlsev Saga trilogy. My strengths seem to be mapping and storyling development, and my opportunities are character personalities, customized graphics, and in-depth scripting.

I look forward to talking with all of you and sharing ideas and games!
