You cant use physical abilities while blinded, or while in darkness. Warp counts as one.

Also, due to sheer fridge brilliance, I didn't think to bring a torch when I went Elunium hunting. Now I can't warp out, and i reeeeally dont wanna lose sooooo many days.
Huh? why can't you warp out? If your save is bugged, upload it somewhere and I can fix it.

Here's a copy of the quicksave, the rope ladder is in the party storage.

Okay I tried your save and I was able to use the rope ladder just fine (all you do is look up/north at the spot and press the action button once to place the ladder then press it again to use the ladder).
If that still doesn't work, try redownloading and reinstalling the game?

First of all, a great game! I've spent about 40 hours on it so far, and completed chapter 1 by defeating Captain Colorous for the second time. I'd like to keep playing a bit more to kill some time until chapter 2 is released, but seem to be a bit 'stuck'. I've got two questions in particular:
- I keep reading about an optional boss after chapter 1, but haven't found any trace of something like that. Did I miss something obvious?
- Ankaba is nowhere to be found. She's not in the cave anymore, or anywhere else.
I checked every accessible map for either of them, but haven't found anything. What's up with that?
She should be at the Runalea Waterfall. If she's not there, then please upload your save file somewhere so I can take a look and see what happened.
The optional boss will be in Blackbird Forest, go east from the first forest map and you should see a cave there that you can access.

I've beaten both the bosses on level 3 of Colorous Cave, but I can't figure out how to use the rope ladder. I've found the spot with the little sparkle where it says "This looks like a spot where you could use a rope ladder." but I can't use the rope ladder there. I've tried interacting with the spot with the ladder in Reniat's inventory, I've tried interacting with the spot with the ladder in the party storage, I've tried standing on the spot and attempting to use the ladder from the inventory and nothing seems to work. Am I missing something obvious, or is my game bugged?
Can you upload your save file somewhere so I can take a look?

i killed him but hes still there and it says that there is maybe still something to do in the cave, so i guess i need to find the dynamite?
Have you defeated the skull demon boss that roams in the forest yet?
