Sprites-to-Scale?

This might be kind of a far out request, but is there any way to desgin character sprites and tilesets to be drawn to a scale? Like, say, 1 RPG Maker Unit = 3 Square Feet?

I just thought more consistant, life-like graphics would be a plus. Also, I've been interested for a long time in designing game worlds by the square mile, which would neccesitate scaled graphics.

What do YOU like in an RM game?

A clear indication as to what I'm supposed to do, and little pain and frustration in doing said thing. Call me retarded, but I've lost interest in so many games because of unclear objectives.
Beyond that simple asset, anything goes.

Hard Parts of Game Making?

My biggest gripes have been Map design and Database.
Map design is hard, and Database is tedious.
